Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak value and verify Authenticity
Finally got my hands on this rare NES game from Facebook Marketplace. Paid $375. I checked some photos of the boards on this site and compared them with my board. Hoping someone can verify with me that I was correct in thinking it is authentic. Also, looking for a value. I feel like $600 conservatively?

Agreed on value but I'm not 100% positive on the board. On the bootgod site that black chip up top should have text, not sure if no text is acceptable on it or not? Also hard to tell, but is the front left side of the label crooked at all? Looks like it is inset a bit at the top but tapers out to the bottom? $375 is a price almost too good to be true (50% value), definitely should examine it in full detail.

I've seen some chips where the light has to hit the text just right for it to be visible, and even then it might not be readable. The first pic shows readable text. Carts with authentic mapper chips are cheap and plentiful, so it's not worth the effort to counterfeit that.
Labels aren't always perfectly aligned. Sometimes they are oriented upside-down in a factory error. Heck, some games left the factory with one game's label applied over another. If it's slightly crooked, that doesn't mean much in my opinion.
I feel a stone mint loose copy of this game is worth well above $800. Finding this game in mint condition seems to be the harder part.
How the heck did you get it for $375? Who knows this game is worth money, then lists it for half market value?
My guess is someone who couldn't find a buyer, and was really hungry. lol

The lady originally posted it on FB marketplace for $25 with a broken system. I contacted her about being interested but she suddenly pulled the ad and relisted it for $500. I contacted her again and asked if she would take $375. She said she had to ask her boyfriend. He said yes and I hauled butt to their house and bought it. It was one of those rare times I get lucky.

Even at $500 it's a steal. $375 you held her up with no gun.
I agree with the $700ish, $750ish values. The game has come down from its high of a few years ago, but it's still worth a fair chunk.

Always makes me leary too. Usually people either know what its worth, or dont.
However in this case everything seems to be legit.

Yeah, it always seems like the people who price games for half of market value want to scam the impulsive "too good to be true, but I'd better jump on it" buyers.
I guess this lady and her boyfriend just needed some cash.
I think luck was on my side because I saw the postings immediately. I think if it would have had more time on the marketplace someone else would have snagged it.
