Donkey Kong 64 Promo Barrel with T-shirt in it?

So I aquired this DK64 barrel that has a T-shirt in it...



how do i know that? well...bc i did as much research as I could and found that out...but...found no pricing of a sealed one anywhere



Its about the size of a "barrel of monkey's" 



any thoughts on value?

    I remember these being a promotional item they sold by the registers or pre-order bonus at Electronics Boutique back in the day.

    I thought the t-shirt was different than the one listed in the picture, but maybe there were various DK shirts? Dunno...

    i saw that listing as well



    but...its from 2011



    im curious as to nowadays value, as i suspect it isnt a ton more...but i am guessing more than $20??

    I have a barrel but mine had a Diddy Kong plush inside. I got mine second hand so I have no idea if the plush originally came inside. he plush fits perfectly snug inside.

    Most promo shirts that I've seen either in video game/comic book stores or on ebay go on average for $12-30.

    (Depending on what it is)



    The promo t-shirts that I've seen which command a higher price are Zelda shirts and the vacuum packed cubed t-shirts...

    I also have a barrel just like this, mine had a DK plush inside of it though that fits perfectly. Also got mine secondhand though.

    I'm wondering if your research got mixed up with another DK64 promo. I owned a shirt that was compressed to the shape of an N64 game box and the packaging was printed with the DK64 box art. Saw similar items for Exicitebike 64 and others.

    There are at least 3 different barrels. One had Donkey kong, one diddy kong and one has the shirt. Those are the ones I have seen opened so far, there may be more.

    Thats pretty cool. Gotta buy em all. You'd think these would be worth more, cool item and clearly not very common.
