Donkey Kong Country 2 donor?
My copy of DKC2 has been a little...broken, you could say. The board is literally cracked in half; the ICs and battery look fine, and have been removed. Is there any (cheap) donors I could use for transplant? I know DKC2 isn't exactly rare or expensive, I'm just a tad broke at the moment and would rather pinch some pennies than save up for another copy. Any help?

EDIT: Nope. Looks like the DKC series is the only one that uses that board:

Yeah, I know...darn it Rare
At one point I considered socketing everything on my DKC cart so I could swap em, but I'm pretty sure there's not enough room in the cart...

Yeah, I guess that would work. Didn't really think about Japanese copies. Thanks!
Use a copy of Madden 95 or newer, they have 64k SRAM so you will need to cut the 2 highest address lines and connect them to ground or VCC, this will make the game only see 16k SRAM and it will not trigger the copy protection.
You seem knowledgeable, any particular reason why a SHVC-1A3M-30 wouldn't work as a donor pcb as well for a Donkey Kong Country 2. I have a DKC2 myself with really bad contacts and a fifa96 laying around. I attempted a swap but only got a black screen, I didn't cut\graound the 2 high addresss lines cause I was expecting to hit the copy protection, but I got nothing. PCB's almost look identical except on the ram chip.
edit: Oh I see, fifa96 is a low rom vs dkc2 which is a high rom. Thats why it didn't work.
