Wow. you have some really cool stuff there. I can't comment on pricing myself as this type of stuff can fluctuate greatly. I would however love to hear the story of how you became one of the referees
2017 stuff is very plentiful right now. Many have gotten for free and are either keeping or reselling. Theres some money there just nothing crazy. The posters have become pretty
The posters are plentiful. Well, one of the 3 is no longer listed on Ebay other than from my own listing, Nothing else of what I posted is plentiful as far as I know, as mostly everything else is Nintendo staff items, and there's zero listings for those things on Ebay or anywhere else, which is why I posted here to try to determine a price.
Well, you have factor in a few things when it comes to desirability, which is what really drive price. Yes, it's rare. That is great. It's also Nintendo memorabilia so, that has it's value too. Nintendo collecting is, IMHO, becoming like Disney collecting.
That said, people weren't collecting much back in the days of the earlier world championships. This makes that older stuff MUCH more rarer which is why a recent sticker for stage crew members for the final championship went last month for close to $700 (if I recall correctly.)
However, this event happened in 2017, people know that Nintendo stuff is collectible and it's still a bit fresh. So, what that means is, yes you have something valuable but not super amazingly valuable. It's tough to gauge items like this but if I had to ball park it, I could see the whole lot going for $200-250. That's very subjective though. At this point, the best way to find out is to put an auction on eBay. Start the bidding at $1 and post it to places like reddit and hear, and let the "market decide". If you are not happy with a value less than a certain number, then just set a reserve price on the auction.
It's not going to be easy gauging these rarer items, unless someone is acquainted with known sales. But, it sounds like not many of these items have sold. That's good for you but it makes it hard to gauge a good price.
That's fine. Personally, I'd ask around if $1,000 seemed fair (which you are.) If I was wanting to sell, I'd probably have taken the deal. I don't claim to be an expert but memorabilia tends to do well but this also isn't old. Granted, it is rare so that's going for it. Someone else may need to chime in whose bought more NWC items and can weigh in on what they'd want to pay for it.
Well, what makes it tough is with time, more collectors do tend to enter the market but they tend to mostly covet the early stuff before "collecting" was even part of the collective psyche. No doubt, whatever a "fair" price is today, the chances are good that it will go up with time. If you can safely store these items in a climate-controlled area for a long while then, hey, I would. In fact, if I ended up with this lot, that is exactly what I'd do. But, I'm also not the guy looking to buy this stuff unless I could get it for a steal. I think it's neat, but it doesn't do much for me at the cost.
That said, in 20-30 years when the younger kids that participated in this have graduated college, have established jobs and are gainfully employed, they may have the "jee-whiz, I remember that!" feeling and start spending money on items like this. Regardless, since people know this stuff is collectible it will be more prevalent than the old, original NWC stuff simply because very few thought to hold on and collect those items. Sure, a few people did, but not many.
I can't get a real, good estimate. $250 is the most I'd ever consider and that's why I offered it. Shame on me, I didn't look up the posters. Knowing that they go for $50, Id probably bump up the lot to $400-500 tops, but as you said you already have a $1,000 offer. With that last statement being made, if you want to know the value of all of this today, it's $1,000 because that's the offer you've received. No one's jumping in here offering you more. There's a good chance that's the best price you're going to get for a while.
Alternatively, you could go to the For Sale section of this page and offer it "For Offer". Mention you've already been given a $1,000 and just want to see if anyone wants to pay more. It might get a bit more attention that way but, honestly, I'm skeptical anyone around here would want to take that price.
came here looking for a Nintendo staff, was disappointed.
Honestly man, this applies to collecting anything.
General rules: supply and demand. You might have something that is rare ,and it might be, but someone has to give you that amount. With no market or history of these items selling it is tough to say. Everyone is going to give their opinion which you might not agree with. All the points made are valid. Good luck to you and if you don't need money now for something then it's probably best to hold it.
As an apparel collector, I will chime in soon with my 2 cents, but I'm at work for the moment and can't convey everything I want to say right now. Great lot though! I got my eyes on that referee polo!
Keep in mind if you sell it on eBay, you'll take a 15% hit because you have to pay both Paypal and eBay fees. You can't avoid the Paypal fees, but I recommend trying to sell it here. There's an active and motivated collector community here and some of the guys around here have deep pockets.
Of course, if no one bites, just sell the stuff on eBay. If I were you, I'd keep the odds-and-ends together in one lot, and sell the posters and shirts individually.

desirable but maybe for $20-50 each.
