I have a few EBAY questions

ok. So pretty much. I am spending wayyy to much money on collecting right now. I see people saying how they don't spend anything and fund their collecti0ons off reselling. I'm ganna start buying in lots and selling duplicates. I have never considered this because I never really had exprience with ebay and shipping and whatnot, but I am starting to get the hang of how mailing shit off goes.

So I made an ebay acount recently and have made a few transactions by picking some stuff up. I am at 2...haha. I want to start selling stuff off already but I don't have feedback. Will this discourage people from buying from me? should I get a greater feedback score before selling shit off? I am new at the ebay thing and just need some help all around i guess. What should I do to get started?

    When I started, I just sold off random smaller stuff so I could get my feedback up higher. It helps your credibility when you're selling higher ticket items if you have better feedback IMO. I get more bids now than when I just started my account.

    well I mean. I have like 40 some odd snes loose carts I want to get rid of. and they are all pretty good resale carts. dk's, mario games, rpgs.. I just don't really know anything about doin it you know. like would i do better by selling them in a big lot. (this is what i want to do) or should i tke advantage of having this many dupes and sell them all individually for now and bump my numbers up?

    well what exactly do you mean? What is fixed price exactly?

    and commons as in..?I mean i have like 40-50 snes carts i wanna get rid of. and some pokemon games, and some guides. nothign is extremely rare. I would consider all of them being like good resale games though. like popular uncommon/common games.

    It's best for common items to just put them at a fixed price. It definitely helps them sell as no one wants to wait 5-7 days for an auction with a single common cart to end.  If someone is looking for that game, they'll pay $1-2 more if they have the option to BIN.  People don't like to wait unless the item up for auction has some value to it.

    I look up the lowest listed buy it now price and try to match or beat it.



    Say the lowest Donkey Kong Country is $14 shipped



    I would set my buy it now to 9.99 + $3 shipping and beat that price. A lot of people get caught up in the getting everything you can for a game. I could care less.



    Most of the stuff I sell costs me under 1 to 2 dollars



    Fast nickels are better than slow dimes imo

    or get id verifed. Just buy a few things get to ten and you will be all set. (At least I think so unless the rules have changed)

    yeah my dad told me to do that too. so you cant do that? and also. someone had an ebay store with HUGE amounts of snes boxes, and I bought like 20 sep boxes. and he left 20 different feedbacks. but I only got 1 number from it by my name. So it has to be fom seperate people as well?

    Well, one per person per 7 days. So let's say that I bought off of pats1717, and he left me feedback today. Then I buy more off of pats1717 next week. If he leaves me feedback again, it'll increase my number.



    As far as making the most of what you have, don't sell it in a lot. Sell individual Buy-It-Nows with reasonable shipping, beat the lowest price current BIN with shipping (easy to sort stats that way), and post your auctions on a Thursday afternoon so they run over the full weekend.
