    Wow I used to have sealed boxes of all of those, too bad I sold them all years ago. I still have an almost (~ 99%) complete set of all original 16 series plus alot of odds and ends stuff like wrappers and posters and stuff.

    I think this went for so much because it's 1st printing 1st series. As I recall there were three printings, one with a yellow wrapper and one with blue? It's all a haze in the recollection of my 8-year-old memories but I do recall that these were so ridiculously scarce...as hard to find as Cabbage Patch Kids, etc. They made a lot more of the later printings and series but this box was a rarity even in 1985!

    I also have a lot of those collector cards (not sealed of course).

    Here in Europe they where called Garbage Gang

    They are cool even if some of those where a bit grotesque

    and they would probably be illegal to sell to kids today image
