Saw Van Halen last night

Wow, Diamond Dave at the helm again was pretty exciting! Any hardcore VH fans here?



I wasn't planning on going to the show (tickets were close to $200 each) until a friend of mine called me last-minute to ask if I wanted to go. He was already driving towards my house with the hopes I'd say yes. It was a no-brainer for me as I grew up listening to them and hadn't seem them in concert since Sammy was the front man (over 10 years ago).



Man, that was an AWESOME time! Now all Eddie needs to do is gain weight and lay off the drugs and his kid Wolfgang (on bass) needs to quit eating Burger King (he takes after his mom Valerie).

    Yep, they played both -- Hot for Teacher was off the charts! And, naturally, they ended with Jump. Good stuff.

    Heard that concert was a 15,000 sell out. I myself have been to Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Queesryche, Black Zabbath, Roger Waters and The Police this summer and I allready purchased tickets for the upcoming Velvet Revolver concert. I have never been to a Van Halen concert before but I do like about 5 of their songs.

    You know, I heard about the concert featuring"Diamond Dave" and I was thinking, who the hell is that, and why dont they bring back David Lee Roth (not realizingat the time they were the same person).

    I gotta admit, I dont like their stuff before the 1984 album ( /ducks ).
     I also thought Sammy was pretty good, although I think the style changed a lot after D.L.R. left.
