Just a quick question about CIB games.

Honestly. does it make the game more valuable if the game still have the cello on them, but it isn't sealed. like the boxes have some of the cello still on th, like as if they were just opened at the top/bottom. Just got into it with my brother on the subject and wanted to know some other opinions on it haha

  • In my experience, no. I mean, it somewhat works as an assurance that the game is mint, but if the seal is broken, sealed collectors won't give it a second though.
  • Not quantitatively, but I don't hesitate to buy games with at least a halfway decent pic, and what looks like the original cello, because that means they're pretty well going to be high grade boxes. If someone took good enough care to keep the cello intact, that likely means the box itself suffered little stress, and also the cello itself takes hits for the box -- things that would rub the edges or make little surface scratches are stopped by the prophylactic image
  • Yeah with the cello on a game your usual condition flaws come down to crushing, or wear at the top opening. Both of those are usually easy enough to spot so it gives you a little better guarantee that something is mint, regardless of the owners standards. The insurance is nice, but I wouldn't necessarily pay extra for it.  A mint game is a mint game to me.. your willing to pay what you will, but I wouldn't consider the cello to make the game more valuable.

Meh, I'm pretty much mimicking everyone else's response. Just wanted to be part of it I reckon image
