I just bought a top loader, but it doesn't come with the power supply. Does the toaster use the same one? Also, if I were to buy a brand new replacement, what kind do I need? Thanks.
If you do decide to get a brand new one, be careful what you buy. You want something of quality. Don't get any of the crappy retrobit or Chinese knockoffs. I like to buy a high quality "desktop" power supply for my consoles. Then I install the appropriate connector on the end and wire it up center negative or center positive, whatever it calls for.
The "desktop" supplies are similar to laptop power supplies. It's a brick with a 3 prong or 2 prong cord. That way I limit the wall warts I need to deal with and I end up with a much more efficient power supply.

And you're good.
