SNES having sprite graphics issues
I got a SNES yesterday from a thrift store and it seems to be having a problem I cannot fix or diagnose. For some reason in every game I test (tried about 10 different games) the sprite character graphics look messed up with vertical lines missing, but everything else that's relatively static and in the background looks fine. See picture:

I throughly cleaned the cartridge slot, tested with different (official) AV cables, and of course tested the games on another working SNES. I cannot seem to figure out why this is happening, so I assume its beyond my understanding. Possibly the PPU or RAM of the console is bad?
Any ideas what could be causing it, or if it can be easily fixed? Games still play perfectly fine on it, just the sprite graphics are all messed up. Also, the console itself does not look like it was water damaged or corroded or rusted out all it. Seems to be in pretty good physical condition actually.

Could also return it for store credit so I'll have to think about that too.
I was afraid of that being the case. Guess I'll list it for sale cheap for parts. It at least came with official cables and a good controller so it was at least worth the purcahse for those.

The store will probably throw it away, which is a waste of a good shell and many good parts. Let me know how much you want to sell the parts system for
