Help! Strange Sealed Box Issue!

I have never posted and I know this is a strange post but I've been collecting for a long time and I seriously need some help in reguards to this item. It's sealed, so I really don't want to open this guy and find out it's 100% real and have to deal with myself afterwards. I want to know if anyone knows if this is real, if it's an odd variant or if this is some absolutely nuts print error.

Here is the story:

I listed this bad boy because I want to buy some more comics and have some spending money on the side but someone messaged me and said it looked off and is fake. I never noticed until they pointed it out that it is a Player's Choice Million Sold box but the bar is Red like a normal box. He said it was fake but the problem is I bought this from an old woman who also sold me a Turbo Duo(In Box/Matching SN), a hu-card, plus a lot of other hard hitting items that were real. All of which was owned by her husband who collected and past. This guy used to have a Walmart sticker on it but I peeled it off with no problem, so in reguards to that I am a little dicked(Not sure if I can say that).

Details:

I know MK64 was released as a K-A game (Which is the rating featured on the box) and  was released in the "Million Seller".

The wrap has the little holes if you look super close.

The gold seal on the front and the back "Offical Seal of Quality" both shine and the printing doesnt look pixelated to weird to me.

There are pictures included below! All pictures were taken on my IPhone 6+ so let me know if you need higher res photos.

Please let me know what you think. It would suck to hear this is fake but it shouldn't be.

Comments

  • Its real and it's a variant. Lots of N64 sealed games came like this where they just used a sticker before printing th million seller box. I've seen Mario Kart, Cruisn USA and Turok at least, probably many more.
  • Hey! Thanks for the response, I appreciate it a lot!

Forgive me for being really confused, but what "Red strip" and what "cart" is OP talking about?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has no idea what he's talking about.  I figured it's just that I don't know much about n64.

It's that red bar along the right side of the box under the player's choice logo. It's usually gold for players choice games.

I wouldn't have known from looking, but yeah the person is probably worried about fakes, looked at a picture online and thought, that's not the same.
  • Sorry about the confusing way I wrote this; I was half asleep when I was typing this out.

"... strip is Red like a normal box." makes sense.

Seeing the holes and the seam on the back would convince me it's legit.

    Pretty interesting item.

    I just learned something today.
