Has anyone been able to redeem their Nintendo Points for Sonic Mania Plus physical? I'm getting error code 2016-0402, says I can't redeem points for this software yet.
Good. I was a bit unsure since the last game I got was Steamworld Dig 2, and it wouldn't let me redeem points for that game because it said it was the wrong region even those I've only ever has a US account, and it was a physical NA release.
I'm not a Sonic fan. Bought it totally for my daughter but she's been bad the last couple of days... have yet to play a single second of it.
Hopefully I get a surprise and enjoy it.
Same exact thing. I know my son wants to play it so I bought it this evening. I get home and my wife says both kids have been bad all day so tomorrow is a no screens day (TV, computer, video games, etc...). Guess he'll have to wait, but I am a Sonic fan so maybe I'll play it in my car in the driveway.

I've put about 10 hrs into xenoblades chronicles 2 so far. I really disliked it at first, due to the long running cut scenes and almost no combat involvement due to the auto attack for your standard attacks. Came close to returning it, but knowing how I am with all rpgs, hate them first them grow to love them, I have persevered and have found it really is a great game. Steep learning curve and still heaps to learn, but otherwise all good.

I thought the same at first. It sounds like I enjoyed It a bit more than you at the start, but I could see the potential. Then it just grabbed hold of me and I had to keep playing until I finished. Still one of the better games on the system for me.

Does anyone think the Switch will start getting some Visual Novels soon/ever? There were a ton on the Vita, and I definitely feel like Nintendo is going to go after that niche crowd once the Vita finally does completely cease game production.

Can someone tell me what Sonic Mania is? I'm not a Sonic fan but I've played the first three. I'm about 20 minutes in and I think I'm playing slightly different versions of stages that already exist. Is this a remix game? Or is that just the beginning?

I thought that's what it was. Basically an HD remix of Sonic.
It's a mix of remixed classic levels and new stages.
I was able to get Mega Man X collection for $22.96 after taxes through amazon prime. I created a new account so I could get a free prime trial, as there was a lot of upcoming games I wanted and find amazon the cheapest to get games if you pre-order. Normally its 39.99/ preorder with free shipping is 32.99 but had a $10.00 credit from the free trial and additonal 80 cent coupon. It worth looking into if you are ordering a bunch of game at once.
Sonic Mania starts out familiar with Green Hill Zone stage layout and music and then phases into its own game. The music tracks and stages move from old, remixed, to new. If you liked Genesis Sonics (mostly 2) you will like Mania.
