Without any info provided, I'd say ditch them. They take up space and generally have very minimal value. Again, I have no idea if you mean NCAA 1998 or madden 15.
You should start by asking yourself "How do I feel about sports games" and go from there.
From MY perspective, if they are titled "Blades of Steel", "Ice Hockey", "Base Wars", or "NBA Jam"... then keep them. NHL 94-96 as well. You need those.
Otherwise, my answer will depend on what game varying from maybe to probably sell.
Very few sports titles are worth something. Most aren't expensive. I think the last years of the NCAA games are worth a little bit. Some of the techno bowl games have a little value on snes, and some soccer games on snes can be worth some money.
If they are N64 or older sell/keep them. For Xbox/PS2 throw them in the trash it is not worth the 50 cents you will get for them. Some game stores won't even take modern sports games

You like playing them.
You need them to complete a set (whatever definition you call it.)
You have sentimental attachment.
Sell otherwise.

Most skateboard and snowboard games are pretty decent.
If by "most skateboard and snowboard games", you mean Skate or Die 2 on NES... then I agree.
