Super Contra Arcade for 300$

I've been wanting an arcade for a while now and thought this might be a decent one to start with. Anyone know what this normally goes for? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    It's not a terrible price, but I think it's slightly on the high end. It's a vertically oriented monitor, so unless you're really into shooters (or REALLY love Super C) you might want to hold off for a horizontal monitor. There aren't nearly as many vertical JAMMA games as there are horizontal.

    I would offer $250 and take it home. It looks like the original cabinet too, which is also the same cabinet as Contra. The Contra board would swap right in as well. If you wanted you could toss in a 48in1 or a 60in1 and have all the classics as well since those are vertical Jamma boards. One thing I will say, is that I had a Contra cab and it was made of a type of MDF board that acts like a sponge to water. It was also very heavy for its size. Check it closely for water damage at the bottom and inside if you are concerned with condition at all. You could use that as leverage to get the price lower too. image

    I'm picking up a cab tomorrow that is going to be my dedicated vert cab.  I currently own 4 machines.  Two have rotate mechanisms for easy switching, and the other two are on frames that aren't particularly hard to switch.  I'll be rocking ESP Ra.De on the new cab for sure.

    The only reason I would be weary here is because you don't have the option of switching between horizontal and vertical.  It's vert or nothing.

    Like Matt mentioned earlier, I would throw him an offer of $250 and see if he bites.

    Thanks for the info guys. I actually am really into shooters! I will offer him 250. Though, I really don't know where I'd keep it!
