Does Anyone Have the System Manual for the Redesigned Super Nintendo?

I've been looking around online, and I only ever see the system manual for the first-model Super Nintendo, whether it be on eBay or in archival sites. I never see the manual for the second model Super Nintendo. Does anyone out there have a manual that they could scan and post online, or is there a link that I can go to that has that particular manual? While I know how to hook up a Super Nintendo, I think a manual makes a system a bit more complete, regardless if it's the real thing or an online/printed document. While I'm asking for something as bland and niche as an instructional manual, I think it'd also be good to have it circulating online for archival purposes. I would extremely appreciate it!

  • Interesting.

Might have to find one for sale that's in Box, with manual....
  • Initially I wanted to go after complete in box with everything included, but I figured that simply having a manual of some kind (along with the controller, console and cables, of course) was enough for me (the prices on those systems quickly made that decision for me lol). Even if it's a printed out PDF, to me it's better to at least have some reference on hand than none at all. I do like how the Japanese Super Famicom Jr. looks in the box, and those are much easier to find complete online, but I wouldn't pay 150+ for another Super Nintendo system since I got a working one already.
  • If I can remember, I'll check once I get back home. Can't remember if I have the manual to my set or not.

Here's the thing though, if I do have it and were to scan it, it'd probably be for preservation and document purposes, not for someone to make a 1:1 copy of it. If someone wants to make a copy for their personal collection, that's fine, but I may leave in some watermarks to discourage bootlegging.
  • I don't intend on passing it up as a bootleg, strictly for my own self gratification of having something somewhat complete with my own made up standards lol. If anything, it'd be printed in the regular 8
  • No probs.   In your case, I'll be willing to work out something with ya. That is, if I even have it. lol

If anything, it'd be printed in the regular 8×11 size as oppossed to making it like an actual booklet. But I do see the potential in scamming, and understand that watermarks or some indication should be placed (it does't matters to me, anyways, I just want access to the thing in some form lol). Thanks a bunch!

Just got home, and I checked, and sadly, I don't have the manual. Sorry, mang.

  • That's alright my man. It just makes the hunt better and the manual more elusive lolol. Seriously though, I extremely appreciate the effort.
  • Well, I don't know the answer to the question but I can definitely find out. As the original owner I bought mine brand new and never took the paperwork out. Only took the controller and Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island out a few years ago (it was the bonus bundle with SMW2 bundled inside).
  • I'm just looking for a way to keep that particular manual preserved (as well as printing an 8X11 PDF for myself and anyone else interested), kinda how Nintendo still has some of their system manuals as PDFs on their online store for download (though this extends only to the GameBoy Advance, sadly). I haven't seen them online and the ones I rarely come across are from eBay listings that come with everything else the SNES 2 systems had. It'd be great to have the manual archived so anyone could reference it, so I was asking anyone on this forum if they have that manual and are able to scan and upload it (perferably watermarked so there's no way people could pass it off as legitimate manuals (though I doubt there'd be any scamming for something this niche)).
  • Looks like mine is a "...-1" so there may even be a revision:

Edit: Googled with and without the -1. Looks like it was already in the NintendoAge database without the -1:

  • That's interesting. Maybe it's a revision to the regular SNES Manual, kinda like how the "-1" in Super Nintendo games marks a rerelease/Million Seller copy? That's the manual I've been trying to find, but there's no upload/PDF of the manual that I know of anywhere. Any chance that you're able to photocopy the manual and all the pages in it? Pretty cool that your system was kept the way it is. God knows where my N64 and SNES boxes/inserts are now, most likely ashes lol.
  • I'll see what I can do!
