Im new here and my name is James
Hi, my name is james and I am new here. I just started to officially collect NES games since August 1st. I really want to get some rare titles, but don't know where to begin. I am only 14 and want to get some of the rarest games out of the way before I have to start paying bills, lol. So I was wondering if you could give me some tips and if you or or someone you is willing to trade rare games you could tell me. Thanks for reading this and I love this site and hope to become an avid member!

Best place to start is our huge database. Here's a "canned" list for you with the rarest games first, but you can use Advanced Search to customize it and choose any kind of display you want. You can even see games from overseas, only official Nintendo releases, etc.

get what you like. IF all you do is go after the rares first, you will slowly realize that you aren't playing those game and they are a waste of money.i would mix and match if I was you. I think it is the best way to collect. Oh and collect loose. If after a while you still like collecting, you can upgrade your collection to CIB.
But what do I know? Don't know much about NES.

As for cart vs CIB if you want to upgrade later you don't necessarly have to buy the game over. There are lots of guys (and a chick or 2) that collect cart only and save their boxes for trade bait or to sell here.
I don't tell others what to do because Im still a cherry to this too. But if you wanted to go the less expensive route and start out cart only and upgrade later it shouldn't be too hard for you to snag the boxes and manuals. Above all ENJOY what you do!!
