Then again I've beat 18 of them and they're all awesome, so I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm doing

Ain't nothing wrong with that. What are the last two games?

  • Also stumbled across octopath collectors edition online, so got that cheaper than launch. Was happy so I made that donkey kong noise when he hits someone with a shell in mario kart 64
  • I know it's not physical but did anyone get Riptide GP: Renegade? I just put about an hour into it and enjoyed the Hell out of it. Think it's 3.99? It's kind of a generic budget title bit reminds me of Wave Race with SSX thrown in. There is a decent progression system. In the early stages there are always 2 riders that are way better than you and set the standard. You adjust your play style and stats accordingly. Honestly, I'm surprised I got this game so cheap. It feels like a $20 game at least. I know that seems negative... the graphics kind of suck, there isn't a lot to do aside from racing, and its very bland/generic... but I still feel like it was kind of a steal. I'll probably put more time into this game just genuinely having fun than I did with other physical games at retail.

Watch videos online and consider. It's decent. I'd buy a.physical copy if they happened to do it.

Breath of the Wild that I'm working on, and Resident Evil which arrived today
  • Yeah that's impressive, really. 20 games is a good size collection for only just over a year, and having beat almost all of them.
  • I have 38 games currently, but that is also including the 4 different versions of Breath of the Wild.

I got the Owlboy standard edition for 10 dollars since Best Buy messed up my limited edition order. I'm glad to finally get to play it at least.
  • Anybody else grab the West of Loathing collector's edition this morning? Of course it sold out in about 4 mins
  • Never heard of it. I'm guessing LRG?

Yessir, it’s a super-simplistic stickman RPG that’s supposed to be really funny.

Those RE games were actually pretty good man, glad they got away from that action bullshit!

If I can find them down the road cheap I wouldn't mind playing through them again.

  • I played through the first on 3DS so I'm heading straight to two. Was gonna start it last night but the fucker is a 25GB download and hadn't finished.

I thought the first one was only alright, but was sold on the sequel based on some youtube review (Arlo?) that fawned over the horde mode or whatever

Not gonna gamble on it getting european release

Seems like a great value bundle - very tempted to get this.

If the LRG releases had multiple games on the one cart, I would be tempted to buy. Then again, they have no problems selling as individual games at the moment so I doubt that will change.
  • updated OP. Didn't realize Dead Cells came out on the 15th. A few decent games came out this past week. I just feel like games like Slain or The Coma won't be in huge quantities so it may be wise to pick them up before they are gone.
  • Has anyone here picked up Voez?

Yea grabbed it yesterday @ BBY
  • Has there been any issues with the quality of the contents of the NIS store exclusives? I just seen Yomwari is coming out to the switch and its game I been wanting for a long time and thinking about springing for the collectors edition.
  • Flinthook and Mercenary Kings areives in the mail yesterday. Flinthook came with a little artbook and Mercs with a comic. Borh with LRG trading cards. The back side of the cover is really lacking on these. Very sparse with only 3 gameplay screenshots and no description. Seems really lazy, Thimbleweed Park was sparse but still better than this. Is this a common thing with LRG's PS4 and Vita games?

I have it. I'm yet to play it though.

Yeah, for Thimbleweed, the screenshots & text on the back of the box were really small and borderline illegible. It's almost like they designed the box art in a high-res illustrator program and never looked at it in actual size!

  • Swung by Best Buy this morning to pick up Dead Cells (don't forget to use the "change from free shipping to in-store pickup at checkout" to save a dollar per item!) and grabbed NBA 2K18 Legend Edition as an impulse buy. They had it marked down from $99.99 to $29.99 and I was able to get the manager to apply my GCU discount to bring it down to $23.99. The box was a little beat up and this was their last copy, but I figured I likely wouldn't see it any cheaper in the future.

IMO, NISA has the perfect formula for the small LE. Decent price, decent goodies, and the merch is always top notch. The games themselves sometimes...
  • Nothing noteworthy as of late for me to pick-up. The Switch has kind of let me down with the lack of collector's editions.
  • I've been playing through Resident Evil Revelations since I got it for my birthday last month. Slowly but surely. I have Battle Chasers, Voez, Dead Cells, and Slain all sitting in the backlog. I've been neglecting the poor Switch the last bit as I've been playing Hunt Showdown on PC (70 hours in a week, what?).

Going cold turkey on Hunt though so I can play some SWANTCH!
  • ^^^ When you get Revelations 2, let me know! We can jump on together! The MP is fantastic!
  • I went into GameStop the other day to pre order some Switch games and they just had someone trade in a CIB SNES and some loose SNES and NES games. They said the system would be $90 but couldn't be sold yet (CA pawn law) but I did pick up Super Ghouls and Ghosts for $16 and Gradius III for $8 all paid for with credit. There was also a Mystical Ninja for $24 but I passed. The rest were Mario's and Zelda's which were over market value. It was all very dusty but the labels are very nice.

In what way? There are tons of CEs available.
  • Once Monster Hunter comes out next week I likely won't be playing anything else for a while. Console and portable... I can already easily sink over 100 hours into one of those games.

No kidding, I was thinking the exact opposite. For me it's more like they have so many I can't keep up lol.
