3DO Rental/TravelMaster Case
I found this at a local retro game shop, $9.99. It was labled as just a "System case" the store owner had no idea which system. I have a couple of these. I have a Virtual Boy one, and a "N64" one that was actualy a Sega Saturn one that Blockbuster threw a N64 sticker on and repurposed it. (Both those are BlockBuster Rental cases, not TravelMaster)
Not sure if it was used in stores as a Rental case, but I found here, thats it seems like it would be the same company, or at least the mold as rental ones

Opening the case and looking at the foam cutout, I'm positve its 3DO FZ-1.

Curious if anyone has seen this, if it could be anything other than 3DO FZ-1, and possible value?
My 3DO systems are in storage so I havn't tested the fit yet
Thanks!!

Problem with these case is that the foam disintegrates.
That is clearly an FZ-1 cut out pattern. As for its value, I dont know that the console it was intended to store matters much since this isn't actually from 3DO or one of their licensees.
I dunno about that, have you seen the Blockbuster Virtual boy rental cases? they are the same things, but sell for $100+, where as the Sega Saturn, N64, and PS1 ones seem to sell for much less. but I dunno, just guessing

I don’t actually know about that market. But really a used case with custom cut-out foam is all it is. Maybe the VB pattern is worth more just because it’s Nintendo related, who knows.
Now, I’d understand why a Blockbuster rental case is sure to have more value to a gamer than a generic one, because it’s directly linked to that nostalgia. Just my thoughts tho.
