FC nes style top loader. What would you pay?

i see these up for 3-400$ But I was reading they made these from 93-03 (unless I misread) making them much more abundant than the standard nes version that goes for 100$ I just don’t want to believe eBay on what it’s worth.

i want to start dabbling in famicom and this would be the the best console for me, but not for that much doe!

  • Do you have a link for the console you are talking about?

I got my HVC-101 for something like $30 last year.

It was sold in USA as "missing flap," but the flap was actually there and popped right back into place.

    [edit]

Link still seems to work for Mercari app, but not for the site. It looks like I paid $36 after shipping since there was a $10 sign-up bonus on Mercari.

Contact StJackieFeva on here if you want real prices.
    Or buy an AVS!
  • Oh never mind. I was confused with something I was reading. 50s around the going rate. I’d seen another listed high the other day too I thought
  • I don't think you'd have much luck that low, I am used to the $75-115 rate of course dependant on what comes with the setup. Complete systems usually $150+ and if you care the system serial matches the box/documents.
  • The price has been increasing on them, I'd pay $100 shipped for a CIB, personally. I got mine a few years back as part of a trade with a buddy, for about $50 worth of stuff.
  • $100 - $125 is what I'd pay with a dogbone and the proper AC adapter. They didn't come with an adapter so it is hard finding them on eBay with one. I paid $105 for mine last month but I used a $25 eBay coupon to get the price down. Love the system. Playing the Famicom Castlevania III with the extra sound channels is great. Might be the best 8 bit music ever produced IMO.

This one looks good to me.  Put in an offer.

  • I paid $50 for mine last year from Japan_4_you. Don't bother with the AC adapter because it will just drive up shipping cost. Also, the dogbone controllers aren't worth it. They are mushy and the cord is about 3ft long (think the nes classic in terms of length). I also bought a dogbone controller from them last year for $5. If they are expensive on their ebay page, just wait because they lower their prices on the stuff to make it sell quicker.
  • I bought one in Japan last year for the equivalent of about 80 USD. It was loose, but very clean and with all the cords and controllers. I do believe I slightly overpaid, but it is in such good condition and just to get it there and then in hand, very happy with my purchase.
  • I ended up grabbing ,

for $200 + 6$ and something for shipping. Check the sold listings on eBay for the lot. May seem steep to some folks here, but I'm happy with the bid. Thanks to the fellow members for pointing me in the right direction and offering your help!
