Famiclone not reading Lagrange Point

So I got a heavily modded Liko KL-235 from Ukraine. It's been working amazingly so far. And then I got my copy of Lagrange Point. It's the only game to cause the console to crash to a grey screen on boot. My NES loads it fine with a 60-pin adapter and my FC loads other games perfectly fine, even with custom chips like Erika to Satoru no Yume Bouken. But this one game refuses to load. Any ideas?

  • It's likely too modern machine, using architecture that deviated from the original hardware. Typical for clones from that region and modern clones too
  • So no luck unless I get a real Famicom, huh. (Or just mod my NES to allow for the chip to load)

The thing's apparently a close clone of the Subor SB-225, so there's that. It probably is too new, since the PCB's fragmented between the loader, PPU, and inputs.

EDIT: Realized that's an expensive route, I'm just gonna go mod my NES and hope the 47K resistor I have is enough to make half-decent audio balance.
  • I am not a tech guy, so please don't take my words as gospel. However, from my experience, very old clones such as micro genius, first print ending man, etc will run most games just fine, since they basically just copied the Famicom 1:1. The problem started to arise with companies such as Subor, liko, as they eventually cheaper out and stopped copying one by one, so then their products would run 95% of games but not all.
  • Also you should go post on www.famicomworld.com , a guy there from Poland named kyrzc could probably assist you we'll!
  • Yeah, I opened up my console, looked at all the work the last guy did and realized that my console is too modern. I'm not sure what's with Lagrange Point not liking my Liko, but it doesn't. So I went the cheap way and modded both my NES and Famicom adapters to output expansion chip audio. And that solved that problem.
