Are mtg cards from other countries valuable?

i just bot a box of mtg cards at yard sale today, it had some pretty good cards

and something like this was in the lot. 

i really dont know how to type russian on ebay so i came here, at least i think its russian

  • They can be used in tournaments so they are valuable, hard to say how valuable they are compared to the standard cards in English, I'd think that they might be a little less desirable than the cards in English but if it's a tournament worthy card it's going to be desirable regardless of the language.
  • As someone who collected magic cards for about 10 years, yes they are still quite valuable depending on the card. I had an Italian mana drain because I couldn't find an English version on EBAY and sold it 2 years later for a 225% markup. That card is now an NES game lol. Yes, you can use a non English variant card in an English tournament if you have a copy of the cards text printilee from the cards database off WOTC website or if it's a smaller tournament like Friday night magic they will usually let you utilize your phone.
  • Interesting. I started just after Legends had been discontinued and I remember buying Italian or Spanish packs at a card show for dirt cheap. I'll have to dig them up and see what's there  .
