Speaking of his book, I bought one from him a while back that arrived in TERRIBLE condition! Every corner of the book was dently heavily, as it wasn't shipped very well to say the least. I looked through the book before sending it back, and I must say that it's pretty damn impressive! But I'm not gonna risk dropping $60 on another just to have it arrived looking like it's been through WW3.
I don't know this guy, and feel free to carry on with your 3 minutes of hate but maybe he entered "50" rather than "500" in his sales management system. So, maybe this should have been $5 off. It's easy to troll someone like this but, serious. Who gives a $.50 discount on a $60 item. That's like saying "Come buy a new car today and we'll knock off $100 on your first payment! ...oh wait. Dealers do that, don't they?

I think he just rubs certain people the wrong way (not me personally). His Youtube videos (particularly the CU Podcast) seem to generate a lot of "dislikes".
I had a pat sighting at Radys children's hospital fundraiser awhile back. I recognized him but didn't go talk to him. He always kinda struck me as a douche but it's cool if he was there for charity purposes. Can't be such a bad guy I suppose. I haven't watched his videos or kept up with him but last I heard he was spitting some venom about nintendo age and to each their own. I do hope that sale is a typo or otherwise he really is ridicuous.

When I used to watch the podcast with him and Ian I thought they were probably the best in terms of just regular dudes who collect games and like talking about games/collecting.
They never came across as fake which is a big issue I had with a lot of other people who do similar stuff it always seemed scripted and they tried too hard.
+1 for someone NA who likes Pat. His book is actually my favorite NES book. It has lots of great opinions and stories and isn't just a database dump of Wikipedia and back-of-the-box info. Come on Pat, you can smooth over your differences with NA

I’d say you should include a link to these topics but I guess people who dont know what you are talking about aren’t going to buy the product anyway.
My daughter is a voracious reader and we shop at places like Half Priced Books.
You can find many the popular series books on clearance for a couple bucks.
