eBay items for sale that can not be purchased?

Run across a few items on eBay that look to be for sale but lack the Buy it now or bid buttons.

Anyone seen these? Found a few of them today.

Curious what is going on here.

Here is one.

  • I can buy it, did you try deleting your cookies and restarting your computer?
  • It says click here to check out 6 buying options.
  • Mobile showed a link to buying options with BIN buttons.
  • This is what I see.

  • Its showing up like you see it for me too.

looks like a dumbass buy box option and this is the catalog page. Stupid ass ebay trying to be amazon and not knowing what they are good at and makes them unique. Buy Box Catalog is the worst idea ever for used goods.
  • There was a Game Boy Tetris cart on ebay that had a slightly fuzzy picture, but it was almost certainly an ASI region cart. I messaged the seller for clarification and got no response. I made an offer and it expired with no response. I finally game up and just tried to buy it outright, and I got a message saying something like "this buyer is not accepting payments at this time." That cart stayed on my watchlist for several months, since after every 30 days it relisted and was still unpurchasable from many different platforms at many different times. I wonder how many people have tried to buy that cart. I finally took it off my watchlist, but it might still be there. Makes me wonder if the guy died or something, and his Paypal account got closed as part of settling his estate. And that listing just goes around and around forever.

The eBay app says it is out of stock.
  • I see the same as you. With that said, who the fuck would even want that? lol
  • hexberx fans of course, actually not a bad deal for a controller even if it's wired.
  • See it the same way... no way to purchase (thank goodness in this case)
