Is there a distinct US version of Zelda's Adventure (CD-i)?

I haven't exhaustively Googled this yet but figure someone here will know. There's usually a copy or two of Zelda's Adventure on Ebay for an exorbitant price at any given time from Europe. These have multilingual text on the back so I've avoided them figuring these must be a separate US release that's just in English, but since I've never seen one come up now I'm wondering if one even exists. Was there a distinct US release for Zelda's Adventure or was the multilingual one released worldwide? Anyone have a pic if so?

I'm nearly certain that the version with the 4 multi-language back is the "worldwide" version. I've never seen a strictly US/English version, and am fairly certain that the copy you're aware of is the only type there is.

  • There is no specific US/English version, but there are two different worldwide versions: Catalogue Nos. 810 0147 and 810 0157.  Both have English on the back, but the other three language are different.  I know Catalogue No. 810 0147 was sold in Europe and the US with different packaging, but it's the exact same manual and disc.  The jewel case on the US version is just a black bar, whereas the European version has "CD-i" written on the top.  That is the only difference.  The discs have several different IFPI numbers (four digits on the inside ring).  I've come across 01M7, 01M8, and 01N8, but I've seen both the US and European releases with 01M7.

  • I have speculated for some time that there is a cardboard sleeve in existence, possibly specific to the US. I too have searched deep deep into the internet and have turned up little knowledge on the subject. The above post from link0985 is the most info I have ever read on the subject.

Boy, if someone found a cardboard sleeve that would destroy my desire to own Zelda's Adventure because that would be one PRICEY piece of paper! TY for the info link0985. I'll probably pick up whichever copy I can find whenever I find one within my budget.
