An Asteroids game from CollectorVision. Shipping is absurd from them ($30+ for an NES cart!) so I took advantage of the secondhand sale.

Dave, I see you're still showing off!

  • I lucked out on this one, I was originally outbid on eBay but received a second chance offer later that night for Jeffrey Wittenhagen's Black Box Challenge. Now it's just KHAN's 4-in-1 Retro Gamepak, Sly Dog's 3-in-1 2P Pak, and Hagens Alley's Miles Con 2016 left on my homebrew wishlist.

Im sorry yo! I feel your pain though. I was pretty bummed i missed the Celeste CE.
  • Nothing super rare or anything but I finally got my CIB Shadowgate for the NES. I don't normally collect CIB but I so loved this game when it came out, I figured why not.

Is this usually pricey? I actually have one I got at a yard sale for like a buck a couple years ago.

  • Oh and this guy. My original is MIA from moving, I just haven't hit that box yet I guess, I thought I'd just suck it up and get another in the meantime. It was one of my favorite guides back then.
(Sorry the images keep flipping around, don't know why)

I'd be interested in knowing this too, as I've still got one from a few years ago when GameStop was clearancing them for something like $5.  It's just hung out with my other board games after being played once since the pieces are much slicker and fit together much more poorly than a normal Jenga set, making it tough to play with.
  • I bought the Switch bundle with $30 eshop credit and so far I've got Let's go Eevee, Mario Kart 8, BotW, and have Octopath Traveler on the way. Gotta love tax season.

They tend to go for us$20 to $30 depending on condition etc. Sad to hear they don't play well as that's why I bought it!
  • I am working in Victoria, BC for the month and checked out the local game stores. Most are exactly as I would have suspected being filled with overpriced, low quality stock just like you'd find anywhere else. There are a few shops that have slightly better selection but insane pricing. Checked out a store called Epic Games and they have a pretty sweet setup. Great selection of games across all platforms, clean and well organized store, arcade cabs and CRTs setup to play and test games, and the staff was friendly. The prices were fair... pretty much at or slightly below eBay prices minus shipping but the selection made it interesting to browse around. They had a few dozen NES CIBs and one stood out in particular. I don't collect much these days and it's probably been a few years since I bought an older title, but couldn't pass this up. Not very often I see a game this uncommon in this condition at a game store. I also grabbed a Grape N64 controller and they were willing to knock a few dollars off the top.

    yeah, about a dozen more

  • This week was a good one for my AES collection.

I bought Fatal Fury on MercadoLivre and it arrived during the week and today I bought all the rest from the same collector that I had already bought some stuff since last year.

Sadly, Art of Fighting 3, Sengoku 2 and Kizuna don't have manuals.

Sengoku 1 and 2 are US versions, the rest are japanese versions.

Better demo that master bath so you can expand.

  • Last couple months worth

    - Still rebuilding my old PS1 collection, bit by bit

    - Sold a rather expensive movie, which paid for Zero

    - Sold some other movies for a lot of the other stuff.  Buy low, sell high.

  • There are expensive movies?

I have sold the Highlander II Renegade Cut Bluray for $100, and the First three Sleepaway Camp blurays for $50 each. Not super highend, but good for movies that were $5-15 new.

I've never heard of Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker, but I feel like a better person for knowing that a movie with that title exists.

I need to do some spring cleaning soon myself. I sold some movies last year that I wouldn't have expected to be worth as much as they were.
