I have maybe 10, but they're mostly variations on a couple of titles since one game I'm looking for has hyphens that some sellers may not use. My tough one is that I'm also looking for the unpublished issues 2 and 3 of the Goldeneye comic by Topps. The lawyer in me is paranoid that I need to cover every possible variation of terms.
I usually have 100 unless I just purged. I didn't even realize you could check them multiple times a day in the app. I check a few high importance/likelihood games manually maybe 1-3 times a day in addition to my saved search emails.
Right now have 37. I've deleted a lot already as I was at one point near 50 after acquiring the item relating to it. My goal is to check every hour, but pretty much end up slipping up and do it every couple of hours due to busy life.

They remove white space and special characters from their search terms so you don't need those variations. When running the code for the search, "gun-nac" will also match "gunnac" and "gun nac."

You can also just do one search like "(gunnac, gun nac) (nes, nintendo)" if you're paranoid about missing one.
I've been maxed out at 100 for years, have to delete or consolidate one to add another. It's to the point where some of my searches can cover as many as 12-15 games using the search operators above. So probably 100 searches for up to 1,000 items or somewhere thereabouts.
I have maybe 20 searches and check them about once a day or so. I used to be a lot more aggressive looking but my buying has slowed down considerably. Some searches I haven't looked at in months.

Typically I can purchase something within 60 seconds of it being listed. Gone are the days of checking saved searches which is a waste of time. I can't tell you how many times I have purchased items that are under priced or hard to find which otherwise I would have lost out on.
I'm looking for a lot of obscure stuff that doesn't show up often, so I have around 25 searches saved and set the app to alert me on my phone when a listing matches the search.

0 because i have no will power and will 100% buy something i want the second i see it in the condition and price i want, regardless of if i should or not. So much easier to just not look lol
If your objective is to buy low, sell high, or buy low to increase the value of your investment portfolio....err, "collection", having 100 searches that you constantly check 24/7 sounds about right.
I use it like window shopping. So it's full. If I need it now I look for lowest price no shipping. If it's a good deal and looks like no one is looking at it but me, I put in a second high bid and wait till it reminds me. Usually some ding bat gets me on 50 cents. I'll admit... sometimes if someone pisses me off I'll find their bid and max them out. Then find a cheaper one "buy it now" And it feels good... inside.
