Konami Anniversary collection looks like it could be quite awesome with Contra and Castlevania collection is well. Sadly it looks to be only digital for now. Give me a beautiful box set.
Looks like they're going for well regarded stuff. So I'm guessing the 4 mystery Castlevanias will be Bloodlines, Rondo of Blood, SotN, and one of the handhelds. And I'm guessing the Contras will be Hard Corp, Shattered Soldier, Neo, and Uprising. Not sure they could make Contra 4 work.
PS4 and Europe (allegedly) are getting a 1-4 release, as opposed to two different releases. So that's a bit disappointing. Not that I know anything about this series, or know if I will ever get them.

Got all excited and everything till I seen "digital" and the read elsewhere its basicly the same arcade archives set up for the Arcade one. guess its a good deal seeing they are $8 a pop, but I have most of them already. I do hope some company can talk Konami into doing physicals and for the love of gods add in the Rebirth titles too!
Also excited for Blaster Master Zero 2! Loved the first one! Rad looks like it'll be fun and the 2 Devolver games look pretty sweet! Pretty good Nindie showcase overall. I need to watch that Hyrule thing at the end again. Coworker came over and interrupted me during that part.

At any rate, I REALLY hope the Castlevania collection gets a physical release. Fingers crossed.
And the Contra collection!..I just wish they'd do a full-on remaster of the original with modern graphics. Done properly it's about a 15-minute game lol, you know it wouldn't be a brutal labour of development and it would pay off on launch week. I'll still take this though, this is great news. If online MP a'la the NES/Switch online games were implemented, I'd pretty much have to start believing that my prayers really are being listened to.
Does anyone recommend Trials Rising Gold for the switch? It's on sale for $30 at a couple places, but the (comparatively) dirty visuals and lack of analog triggers makes me apprehensive. I play primarily in handheld.
Is there a running list of small time switch producers? I am afraid of missing a great but limited release. If you know of any others, I would love to here about them. I have found so far:
So some major sources are saying that Ninty will be announcing two new Switch models this year. Apparently, a fancier more expensiver model for HARDCORE GAMERS and some kind of stripped down cheap model that would be more like a true 3DS successor.
