N64 Asian versions - How many known titles?
The N64 era makes Asian version collecting much more complicated. There are multiple subregions:
Hong Kong (HKG):
Korea (KOR):
Taiwan (ROC):
"Asian Version" - Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia (ASI):
"Asian Version" (ASM):
I'm fairly certain there are more but not sure what's out there. Anyone know more about these? Why are Mario & Diddy Kong the only real commonalities? I've got a bit of info on the Korean stuff (yes there are 4 real boxes for the 4 titles). And the ROC one with a crossover JPN styled box is really fascinating. Taiwan already has closed ties with the Japanese region and the fact that it has two subsets of box types makes it very reminiscent of the Super Comboy era which is all over the place.
And of course there is the iQue...

Neat! I can add them. Do you have pictures? I'm coming up empty while searching
You'd need to ask optout for the f zero pics, he has that one.
Mario 64 , I have one up for auction right now, you can save that pic if you like
There is also Turok 2 which has an Asian release. I'm pretty sure there are others out there too, but I can't think of any more right now.
The F-Zero X ROC release is pretty interesting, as it is basically identical to the Japanese release, other than a large white sticker covering the lower portion of the back of the box. It also has an insert in the box that is specific to Taiwan as well. There is also Turok 2 which has an Asian release. Added! Forgot about Turok - pretty sure I've encountered that one before.

Hey man that F-Zero is pretty cool! I would consider that as what I call a "repack" - which is basically a game where the pieces of it were produced for a specific region, but was officially "repacked" (at the publisher level, NOT at the distributor or retailer level) for a different region other than the region/area that it was originally intended/produced for. A few (I think 6 total) of the Korean GameCube releases are "repacks" that are just actually Japanese releases, but were _repacked_ into cardboard sleeves and have extra manuals to turn them into Korean releases... but when you open them up you figure out they are just regular Japanese JPN releases with JPN discs. I personally do consider these distinct releases (as long as they are officially done at the PUBLISHER level) and these SHOULD be documented as much as possible, though they are probably less important than non-repacks, definitely a cool item and that sort of thing should be documented were/when possible! Cool item!
You say the F-Zero has a specific insert in the box as well - any chance you could post a pic of it (of the front and back, if possible)? I would love to see it, if possible.

Sure thing pal.
I'm not sure this insert is necessarily specific to F-Zero X, seems to be general warning information. I haven't seen it with any other of my games, however, so I can't say for sure. It is definitely Taiwan specific though, the code, the language, even the addresses on the back page are all Taiwan stuff.
Anyone seen this insert with any other Taiwan releases?

Cool thanks for sharing!
I attached a photo of a Taiwan Ocarina of Time CIB with the same insert, I got the photo here: https://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/273765541552. So, that definitely appears to be a general insert that was likely bundled with every Taiwanese game when it was new, similar to how the Health & Safety Precautions inserts were bundled with every North American game.
Interesting, that OoT has what appears to be both an English language and Chinese language manual. My ROC F-Zero X comes only with a standard Japanese language version manual.
