Yeah, same for me. The site definitely got a little bogged down for a few minutes there but wasn't too bad. I was having flashbacks of the old amiibo days.

Yes, there will be a second batch. They usually make the first batch around 70 percent of their inventory, so there will be fewer available in the second batch.
This morning went about perfect. It sold slow enough that anyone who wanted one shouldn't have had any trouble getting it, but it still sold fast enough that LRG shouldn't need to worry about having any left over stock. With the shit storm that they had to go through to get this game out, I'm sure they want this sale to be over with.

Yeah exactly. Likely why they don't have a limit. I'm glad they have two waves and are announcing them...makes the process much better in my opinion. Like you said, anyone who wants one should have no problem getting one.
I wonder if anyone bought a bunch to resell? I'd be curious to see if this demands much down the road with the Wii u being a dead console.

Definitely hard to say, and honestly I don't care enough to put much thought into it. Sure the Wii U is dead, but it may have its fans later down the road. Axiom Verge will be one of the lowest print runs on the system and a highly desirable game, but 6,000 is still a lot. It's possible it could be worth some money down the road, but I would say your money is better invested elsewhere (referring to multiple copies). It's definitely worth having one because it's such a great game.
I think interest in full console set collecting will probably decline faster than interest in the rarest Wii U set-completers increases. These copies will be easily available for a very long time, because all 6000 are in the hands of collectors or resellers and none will be lost to time like most old rare games were. If game collecting turns out anything like comic collecting in the coming decades, I think people will start putting their money more into fewer, higher end pieces rather than have boxes and boxes of trash just to complete sets/runs.
Got one now. I'll be interested in seeing if LRG will continue doing Wii U since Vita is ending. Vita was niche but Wii u is pretty dead with Switch collecting taking off. I'm into more Wii U though!
It's on sale, but theres not many people buying. It might go up over time, but it's hard to imagine too many people wanting this right now that didn't get a copy.
I dont buy too many games made in limited runs, however when I do I usually get 2 copies. Fortunately the picks I made have been good enough so far to get a free game. With exception to Edith Finch for ps4, I felt that game was good enough that I picked up quite a few of them.
I can't see how this is going to go up in value too much in the short term. It was selling slowly and it seems like a lot of people on other forums are talking about buying it purely as an investment.
I was too busy at work for this and forgot all about it. I had no chance in the morning to even get to a computer, and I was at work till after it was already gone. I really just dont like limited run games. This should have been a preorder situation. Having to be at a computer for a short window during a work day is just garbage. As a full set wii u owner this crap sucks. The preorder system is so much better. I was ready to preorder this the second they announced it, but now have to overpay because it releases on a work day.

They've just updated their website. They've sold 55% in the first wave and will sell the remaining 45% in the second wave.
Cool. The first wave lasted about 20 minutes so I'm sure whoever is trying at the second wave shouldn't have much of an issue.
