Im using Gameye and the website Backloggery, but do you know better options?

  • What features are you looking for exactly?
  • Nothing in particular, im willing to try different ones and go from there. but the only thing i really need is to be able to scan or add my imports.
  • iCollect is the best I have seen. You scan the barcodes and it pulls from the user filled database. You can edit any info, have unlimited games stored. It has the cover art of each game so you can quickly scroll through your library to check before buying. You can also manually upload any game that isnt in the database. It is free with limited functions but for $14.99 you get the full range and to me it us worth it. Only downside is that the device you pay to unlock everything on is the only device you can use to edit. Your library will show up on other devices but it wont let you edit. I keep my iphone 4s from 09 just for this reason. I just scan and save my new games at home and take my ipad when i go game hunting.
  • If you have an Android phone, I'd recommend checking out My Game Collection. I use the $4 paid version (also has a free ad-supported version) to manage my library.

    This sounds absolutely appauling.

  • If you are on macOS/iOS, I highly recommend Gamepedia and the sister app Pocketpedia.

    http://www.bruji.com/gamepedia/
  • I used to maintain static html assets, but after a move to Google Sheets I've never been happier. I've never wanted or needed the overhead of pricing, cover art, etc though.
  • I just log in to game value now on my phone. Who needs apps when you have a browser.
  • I use My Game Collection on Android. It's decent. Needs some work though since I've had to manually add several games to their database.
  • Well, guys those looks like some nice suggestions, ill give em a shot. tnx
  • I use Google Sheets so I can edit from anywhere. Little tedious, but overall I can customize it however I want and it's free!

    I also use Gamevaluenow
  • Gamevaluenow is where I track mine as well. It's nice having my collection tracked at the same place I use for pricing.

Let me rephrase. The app will transfer if you get a new phone you can only use the functions on whatever device you purchased it for. You cant have 2 active devices amd download the app twice amd use the functions. You can download it on multiple devices just can only use the functions on the first device. Or you can edit on the PC by signing in to the website.
  • Are the game value now prices they add to your collection accurate? I just started doing this and I'm kinda shocked.... :S
  • I use CLZ Games. Been using it for years, i love it.

They are based on ebay sales. You can often find the lowest priced items cheaper locally. A lot of the highest end stuff (like NWC 1990) are largely sold through private channels. Those sales won’t be included. I use it as a good place to start on most items.

Same here. I re-up my subscription when they have a deal going (Black Friday, and a couple other times each year, IIRC) and I like it.

Oh I forgot they added subscriptions. I got it went it was just a flat fee. I dont know if its worth the subscription fees.

I'm using the web-based one. That might be the difference.

  • Any reason why people don't use pricecharting? I've uploaded everything there as it's convenient and easy
  • I use the website VGCollect. One feature I like is that anyone is able to add a game or modify an existing entry. It's also possible to export a CSV spreadsheet. I was an admin on that site for about three years so perhaps I'm a bit biased. They also have an Android app, although it's not that great to be honest.
