Can someone shed a little info on this Gamecube variant?

Hey guys i've got a bit of a quandry for some of you. I recently mentioned this in the "Gamecube Variants" post as it was absent, and after some basic searches around the net I havent been able to find much info on it at all. I picked up this copy of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for the Gamecube quite a while ago from the local game store and after opening it up and checking if it had everything in it (I assumed the Brady Games mini-guide variant was common at the time) I bought it and havent thought about it much since. After looking at some variants on games I began to realize that I hadnt seen my version of Tony Haw's on any sites, searches, ebay lists or anything like that. So I post this here hoping someone might have a bit of info on it. I'd really like to know if maybe it was a store exclusive, maybe a short re-release? Anything at all! I apologize if this is a common thing on the system, I just havent come across too many of them yet hunting in the wild. Thanks!

    Is there an eye-roll emoji?

I love Gamecube and I have a bunch of neat variant cases from choosing certain retailer-exclusive launch bundles back in the day. Unfortunately I know nothing about this one.
  • I think you're the guy who shed info on it. Lots of variants and minor stuff for this generation are poorly documented yet. If you can't find info online except for your own forum posts, congrats, you're helping!
  • It likely was a short lived re-release before the player's choice version came out would be my guess at this point. Looking through completed eBay sales there have been three sales in the last few months ... two in February and one in January of this variant. So they are out there. I am hopeful to track one down sooner than later, but they seem to go unnoticed for the most part and are listed as regular copies.
  • I started a thread awhile back for odd GameCube variants that weren't included in any lists I found. I've added your find to that list. Thanks for pointing this out! I'll need to find one for my collection now.
