Does anyone have this Secret Of Mana guide?

I saw this recent Secret Of Mana guide on Amazon... Does anyone have this? I'm wondering how good the walkthrough is. I was thinking about picking it up for just the general major beats of the game, since I have the Japanese version on Switch (and can't read Japanese). It seems like this guy has made quite a few guides recently, and they all seem fairly well (customer) reviewed.

  • Go with the original guide.... I do have the Zelda guides from BlackNESguy and they are full of pictures and stuff, but when possible I'd always suggest sticking to the OG flavors!

  • that one you linked, the reviews say that the walkthrough is pretty obtuse and is written like prose rather than an actual walkthrough. Not sure it would help me much in this case?
  • Prose, that's a good way to put it, but don't let that run you off. I'm thumbing the guide right now writing this as I own it. It's in black and white other than this one section, and yes there is prose, and yes there's even some book like paragraph elements with quotes and the works to come off like a book which actually isn't badly done. There are a lot of pictures of each spot you may question when playing with text (prose like) under it instead of just saying 'cut here' for brevity. The areas do have full maps too like on page 83 you can see the layout of the Palace of Darkness.

That color area opens with the world map, next a full boss list with stats and main attacks/weaknesses, and multiple color maps of what mostly appear to be the spaces where bosses lie.

It's a good guide, just not written in the normal style is all but the information that is needed and vital is clearly there.
  • i have the guide and agree with Vmpr ^^^^
  • ah, interesting. Thanks for the info, dudes!
  • My ex-wife has one ,but I doubt she would ever part with it ..
  • I have both and they are both pretty bad lol, stick with a tablet/ipad and an online guide. FF3 has the same problem, I think I have 3-4 different guides and they're all pretty bad in different ways.
