ne I got years ago other I got at a garage sale this weekend I don't have an Atari age account sadly so I'm posting here isn't this weird?

  • That is very peculiar. I was not aware of differences in the manufacture of the console that would lead to different sizes.
  • Seems improbable, and your pictures aren't good. You need to have both consoles side by side, flush by the rear, and better angles. Also ruler shots.

    I can't really tell the size. But the texture of the plastic appears to be different.

    And the changed positioning of the printed text (Atari 64-bit interactive multimedia system) is completely obvious.

  • Concerning the printed text placement, that's a stamped detail and not part of the injection molding. Yes, there were different system revisions, but until better pictures of the two systems are made I'm skeptical. The first Jag in the second pic is being held up and throwing an odd angle relative to the adjacent system.

    I also noticed in the first picture that the cartridge appears smaller in the "smaller" unit... like look at each cartridge, one then the other, one APPEARS smaller than the other. I'm not totally sure, but it looks to be some kind of perspective trick at the very least.
