WTB: 100%, GEM MINT, spotless/perfect Chrono Trigger box.

I'm probably not going to bump this but if I can find a reasonablish price, I'd like to get an absolute perfect, gem mint Chrono Trigger box.  I'm not interested in the inserts or the cart, just the box.  I don't need the tray, but having that would fine as to help it maintain it's shape.  Also, if you have have such a box and wouldn't mind a downgrade because, why keep something in "gem mint" when you're happy with "very good", I have a box in such a condition that I'd like to upgrade. We can make a trade of that plus cash, or some other items.  Just let me know what you're interested in.  I have a FS/FT post, but it's also incomplete.  See list below to make an offer.

EDIT

Here are some images of my Chrono box I'd like to upgrade.

I'm also looking for just the warranty card to Albert Odyssey for the Saturn. Not sure where that one is valued at, but I'd like to pick up one.

EDIT #2

Also, considering my level of interest, feel free to enquire about potential trades, taking about anything from my current collection. Other than the rare GB stuff since I'm going for a complete set. I'd trade just about anything for the right deal, for an exceptional specimen. Also, if you have a CIB set. I can be worked with for the right piece.

My current collection (sorting by value works, even though numbers aren't shown):

Also, I downgraded my description to "very good" condition. I had to dig it out and I was recalling that my CIB Super Mario RPG is the one I'd consider in "Mint" condition. This is a few steps down, but still display worthy, IMHO.
  • I have a minty box just don't know how minty is minty enough for your minty standards. Also, yours looks fine! Why upgrade?

I’m considering getting a WATA shipment together.  I’m wanting/hoping to find a box that looks like it was kept in a good place and the shrinkwrap was taken off yesterday.

Does WATA take pieced together CIBs? I suppose they really have no way of knowing one way or the other...

I think so. Anyway, I don’t believe Chrono had multiple  variations, even of it’s internal components, so there would be no way to know.

Thank you all who like my copy of Chrono, but let me clarify.  I'm not foolish.  This is a good copy of Chrono, and when I've checked on eBay, it's definitely better than most I've seen come up for auction.

That said, I have about 10 titles in my library that are CIB that I'd like to get graded, and this is one of them.  The contents of this specific copy are actually quite better than the box. The maps appear unopened, the book has very, very minimal damage and the warranty card looks freshly cut.  It also has the dust cover, baggie for the game, tray NP and other typical Nintendo inserts-- it's a really nice set.  Regardless, the box does have noticable imperfections I'd rather not have if I'm having it graded-- the one tab is bent/crushed from being opened in the middle.  With proper opening, this can be avoided.  Edges of some of the cut sides are frayed.  There is minor, but noticable shelf wear.

Typically, I don't care about these minor details for my CIB items but when you want to create a small collection of "top shelf" items, then you want the most noticable parts of the CIB set to be your best parts. That's obviously going to be the box.

I've been very satisfied to own this piece since I've acquired it and it's a great box/set.  That said, if anyone has a box in much better shape and would consider a sell or downgrade because you can make a profit on it, I'll definitely pay, trade, and/or swap boxes for a better one.  Price is negotiable depending on just how "perfect" it is, because even that can be subjective.  I'm not being picky to be a jerk.  I just want this to be the star gem of my collection, and I think many of you can understand and appreciate my requests.  Once this is graded, it's days of having individual parts being upgraded and improved upon will be over.
  • Makes sense to me man. The box is certainly not perfect, and you want as close to perfect as you can get. I get it. Good luck!
