Because you like to count the stairs?    Boy you sure did aggrevate Kermit at your elevator operator job!

Lol, that's a really specific clip for this thread.
  • The thread is about elevators and you are The Count? Is it and are you not?
  • I thought we were going to be talking some Elevator Action here...

Well I guess we are, haha. I think my cut-off is around 3-4 floors.

Depending on my mood, and how long I perceive the elevator to be waiting.... I'll most likely walk if it's under 4 floors.
  • Elevators freak me out. I take the stairs.
  • This actually happened to me this morning.

I'm holding like 40lbs of stuff for a pot luck in the elevator. I go up nine floors from my parking spot to my floor in my office building. Some joker (who I know and is perfectly healthy, mind you) gets on on floor two, to go to floor three. I had to really bite my tongue and not call them a lazy pos.
  • Well, broke my ankle badly in January, so as far as moving around Uni campus goes, up until a month ago I needed them.

Now that I can walk better again screw waiting if it's less than 4 levels.

Ok, new angle on the topic: has anyone ever got any action in an elevator? I remember one of my flatmates apparently once gave her BF a blowy in the elevator to our flat. We only lived on the 4th floor, so it must have been a REAL quickie, lol!

Whenever I've tried to get busy in an elevator, my wife always says there are cameras or whatever watching us and doesn't want to... Always some excuse, ammirite fellas?!

Like... getting stuck in one? That is pretty freaky.

I wouln't at all be a fan of working in a high rise building going to like the 100th floor of a building every day??? Fuck that.
  • I got this damn claustrophobia so I ALWAYS take the stairs. Since this topic has been brought up, as anyone ever been stuck in an elevator for a long period of time? That would freak me out.

    Blegh.  Me neither.

Biggest building I worked in had 27 floors.  Elevator went to 26, then you took the steps to 27 (entire floor was an open plan, so it was like a big penthouse).    You could feel the sway up there, no fucking thank you.
