  • Stars evened it up. I feel like the Stars have been the better team. I think they'll win the series. I'm biased though.

For my bracket's sake I sure hope so.

Three really good second round series (and the Canes/Isles isn't really that bad, just a bit of a shock)

  • I give the Blues credit. They clogged up center ice for the Stars and made it feel like they were stuck in mud in the 3rd period. Then the Bishop injury sealed the deal for St. Louis. Game 7 should be good.
  • Even if Bishop can't go in game 7, Khudobin is more than capable.
  • Sorry to see Columbus go to Boston . Sharks avalanche going to OT
  • Lets hope Bishop can play, hes been great. Too bad the Bruins won, but im pullin for the Canes either way
  • So many Bruins haters lol.

With Kyrie and the Celtics continuing their implosion, looks like Boston might have to settle for competing for only three of the last four US sports titles.

I mean have a little sympathy, people.

  • I don't think it's Bruins hate as much as people wanted to see CBJ keep going.

Marchand has knocked off his bullshit this year, so that's a good start.
  • Its only the fans people hate, i'd put Bergeron in my top 10 fav players of all time. His faceoff numbers are downright ridiculous

He’s gotta be the most under-appreciated player I can think of. He is such a tremendous, HOF-caliber player, and he’s made TWO All Star games. He’s not flashy enough, I guess, but he’s the best player on the best line in hockey.

Yeah...mostly. He did deliver a rabbit punch a few games ago that could have warranted a suspension. The problem is he’s way too fucking good to be caught up in BS that crosses the line from pest to goon. I can tell you Boston fans are as frustrated with him at times than anyone.

Lots of players do shit like that when they're frustrated (look at Landeskog's cross check of Meier last night after Vlasic's third period goal) so I didn't really think too much of it.

More the dumb stuff like licking players.

  • I'm starting to hope Thornton bests Boston for his swan song Cup.

(By scoring four goals in Game 7, of course.)

This. So much this. The dude is a tremendous talent that just can't stop with the Matthew Barnaby antics. It makes him so easy to root against.

  • I thought his rabbit punch was pretty funny, just skates by and gives Harrington a lil tap to the back of the head for absolutely no reason. He's really become an elite player though, which is why it's better he leaves the antics to someone else. Also I can't hate the guy that did this, I laughed way too hard watching it the first time.

Ehhh, Thornton underperformed in Boston. I have no problem whatsoever with that trade as a Bruins fan. He really came into his own even a few years after the trade. He's had a strange career.

  • Damn it Dallas! There goes a first round pick for the rangers lol ughh

I think you mean his rooster song cup

  • Well Ben Bishop played a hell of a game, shame the rest of the team didn't bother to play tonight.
  • Expecting an awesome SJ-COL Game 7, and I guess rooting for that game's winner to win it all.
  • That game definitely lived up to the hype. I was on the edge of my chair for a good portion of the third.
  • Note to Vegas- this is how you deal with a controversial call http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/26705410/avs-captain-takes-blame-controversial-no-goal

Bednar kept his guys in it, knowing dwelling on it did no good. And they definitely had a better third period than the Sharks did.
  • Surprised to see nobody commented on the STL/SJ Game 3 handpass controversy while I was away. The series could very likely have been finished by now if a legal goal were required in OT of that one.

Hopefully the Blues can finish them off and advance to the Finals tomorrow night.
  • After the game yesterday Blues pretty much have this one in the bag I'm thinkin.

    Sharks loook exhaaaaausted.

Depends on which Sharks team shows up.   They've looked like shit in several games these playoffs (including 50 minutes of the Vegas game 7), and they've looked dominant at times.

Not sure why they seemed to give up after the first period yesterday.    Yeah, you let in two shit goals due to stupidity, but you aren't gonna get back in it by only getting 10 shots in the last 2 periods.

Yeah the potential is there for them to come back they have been a consistantly good team for 25 years and have a very strong core group of dudes with them right now.

I just don't think after how slow they looked and the amount of frustation they showed they can come back and win 2 games especially when the Blues have shown zero signs of slowing down.

If the Sharks do end up winning the series though there is no way in hell they are going to beat Boston after they have been well rested and the Sharks have been getting literally fuckin pounded every single game physically this series.

Personally I'd want the Sharks to win the cup just to see Thornton get his cup....also wouldn't mind seeing Nyquist have some success after getting let go from the Wings, he was one of my favourite players for sure but man they are not lookin good.

It's gonna be tough for either of those teams to beat Boston.   They would have to learn from Columbus and how they managed to shut down their top line for 3 games.

Sharks are running out of depth as you mentioned, and I can see Marchand bowling into Binnington "accidentally" in the first or second game to throw him off, and that'll be that.

  • Eh, screw San Jose. Sincerely. They've been the beneficiary of way too many sketchy calls/no calls in their favor this post season.

And despite all of their good fortune, they're STILL sore sports and cry babies. Into the 3rd period of game 5, after the game had been decided, Haley and Kane decide to get themselves tossed like little bitches. Roughing, game misconduct, deliberately interfering with Binnington, and then slashing. Fuck the Sharks

Oh, you shush.   Tell your Blueballs to stop hitting high and they may not have guys going after them.
