Was really lucky today

So I was working in a different clinic today and this afternoon the weather took a turn for the worst. We see a small tornado in the area but it’s not close to us. Then another tornado warned storm is headed to our area per the news so we drop everything and leave 30 minutes early. 10-15 minutes later this happens.

Had we stayed,we could have been injured or worse. I’m very fortunate for sure. Crazy day....crazy weather.

If you watch the second video,it has a nice closer view of it and video of the clinic near the end. I definitely got lucky.

  • Damn, glad you made it out and nobody was injured.

I love storms and fascinated with tornadoes and shit but not this side of it.
  • Sorry about the loss/damage to the facility. Dayton and Kansas City have had some bad ones already. Little early for tornado season but the weather has been so jacked up in general. I'm glad you, family, and co-workers are safe
  • Good to hear your ok. I've been through cat3 hurricanes but I'm scared of tornadoes. There are warnings on tv sometimes here in the panhandle.
  • Glad you made it out unscathed.

Not gonna lie though. I was fully prepared to come in here and tell you this belongs in "Finders Keepers"
  • Fortunate to be in an area of Missouri that hasn't been hit by tornadoes yet. Glad you got out at the right time, guts. Its not June yet and they have been hitting hard. May be in for a lot of sirens this summer.
  • That is very scary to have been so close to that. Glad you're okay!
  • Proof why it's important to take warnings seriously! I'm glad you and your coworkers are ok. Whoever hasn't seen the weather man blasting people for complaining of stoppage to the bachelorette show due to tornado updates, watch this. It's funny but true. https://mobile.twitter.com/pod4g/status/1133185644241543168?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed&ref_url=https://d-25495367103502830930.ampproject.net/1905291911450/frame.html
  • Woah, very glad you are okay!
  • Damn, luck was indeed on your side, glad you are safe.
  • I'm glad that you are safe and everyone was able to leave early and hopefully make it home safely. Whoever made the decision to send everyone home made a good choice. Hopefully people in the surrounding area were all able to get to a safe and secure location.
  • That's nuts! Very glad to hear you and everyone else was safe. That was a very close call!
  • Wow, so close in timing. Glad you're doing well!
  • Andy gets a job there for one day and this happens.....
  • I always wondered what my work would look like if destroyed like that. Kind of a fantasy really I suppose for some people. Either way I'm glad you got out safely and no one was injured.
  • Glad to hear that you're safe. Watching the news, the weather over the past few weeks has been terrifying
  • That's insane. Any other buildings nearby take damage like that? The others in the pic look relatively okay.
  • Whoa... glad you made it out okay.
  • Glad you're alright Guts. Close call for sure
