  • I have a tough time picking just one. One day its X the next day its Y.

One piece that I enjoy for a number of different reasons is the original art for Dino Peak as I started collecting as a sealed collector and spent years trying to get a sealed NES set. One of the three titles I've never owned sealed is F2, so it was nice to get something even better and be able to mentally cross it off the list.

Sorry for the dark and crappy pic.   The board is bright white IRL so I must have taken a pic with very little light in the room.

  • I was going to post one of my Rare NES original artworks. Seems pointless now. :-(

It's never pointless, let's see that artwork guys.
  • Yeah I think we're good here....
  • ah come on guys, its not like that. Post away!
  • Probably small potatoes to a lot of the people here but I'm pretty proud of my new Virtual Boy in mint box and it's probably tied for my favorite with my ROB. Value-wise I dont have anything more rare/expensive than something in the same caliber as a ducktales 2, Snow Brothers, etc.

    ^^Agreed ..
  • Well, since I can't too these, I'm going a different route.

My NES Game Genie/SMB 3..they came at a huge cost!

I woke up my sister and brother at 3AM to open Christmas presents. I got a Color Blaster, which I had really wanted. I opened it up and played with it for a moment and then moved onto my other presents, the Game Genie and SMB 3. I sliced my thumb badly on that GG. However, that was nothing compared to what happened next. My 1 and a half y/o brother sprayed the Color Blaster on the carpet in the living room. I immediately told my parents what happened and then I learned about Santa Claus and was threatened that if I ever spoke to my siblings about what I had learned that I would never get a present again. Those two items are now priceless to me.

kidding, Dan. we all love when you swing that big collector bologna in our faces.

  • Lol, my favorite is my -1 variant of No Mercy on N64 because I spent over a year checking every Ebay auction tracking one down. It was a fun journey and my work paid off in the end. I think I spent $11 on it. And it's worth what, 50 bucks? I'm not ashamed to post my tiny donger next to Bronty's giant sausage.
  • Small potatoes but mine is my CIB Earthbound. I know everyone and their mother owns one of these but it's a nice showpiece. I owned an M8 for a short period of time last year but I sold it to help pay for my honeymoon... Fun while I had it.
  • I don't have anything very valuable. Favorite is probably my run of Nintendo Power issues. #1-67, mostly in Fine condition and complete.
  • Probably my CIB copy of EVO. Nothing too spectacular otherwise.
  • My original teal Game Boy Color and Pokemon Gold Cartridge I got as a kid one Christmas that got me into this whole gaming thing, and eventually collecting.

Oh, not just valuable to me? Okay. Again, small potatoes compared to people who have been doing this longer but maybe my big box CIB copy of HeartGold with the shiny cardboard and PokeWalker.
  • Most of my favorite items are not Nintendo-related to be honest, but if I had to pick one, it would actually be my Faxanadu NES Cart. If memory serves me correctly, that was the first game I re-obtained as an adult when I started collecting, that I had and loved as a kid. I bought a faxanadu cart and the wave of nostalgia was more than just fleeting, and thus led to many more purchases, meeting new people, getting involved with NA, etc. So aside from the monetary value of selling immediately, I'd rather have my Faxanadu cart than an NWC any day, just personally.
  • All of my childhood SNES boxes (which I refused to sell when I let that collection go

Also, speaking of F2, my Super Vision Flintstones II pirate. Paid more than I should have on it here on NA years ago, but it's so great to own an old-school pirate of a hard-to-find game.

^^I understand .Although my NWC cart is my most valuable  gaming item (monetarily) ,my original CIB NES Console is my favorite. And sentimentally my CIB NES console is my most valuable..
  • It's really just all my CIBs of the best and most classic Nintendo-made games that I am constantly gaining the most appreciation for, that stuff never goes out of style
  • Maybe my favorite games like Mario 3, Batman, or something a little more sentimental like my copy of Dragon Warrior 2 I got from my dad.

Other than that, it might have to be my repros and/or bootlegs. lol

Edit: Also found of my Metriod Other M poster.
  • Mr. Gimmick CIB in very good condition is my most valuable, and also close to my favorite.

My favorite is a small set of games if that counts - my CIB Color Dreams + Bunch Games set
  • Most valuable is my smw prototype. My favorite is my gameboy dmg kiosk never thought I'd find one when I first started collecting kiosk.
  • My favorite is probably my N64 kiosk arm/controller with the NFR cart that was played with said controller. It's weird, I have a story to go with it and it's cool.
  • My Miya 2000. Still need to make a video about it.
  • Not super valuable but I really love all the Zelda games and stuff I've collected around it.
  • I have a really cool Mario Poster from 1988 framed in my game room that belonged to my brother. Other than that, probably my minty CIB Wayne's World and Little Samson cart.

On the Sega side (sorry!) I have a CIB MUSHA and, my pride and joy - a CIB copy of Spider-Man Web of Fire (32X) signed by Stan Lee. I waited in line at Comic con in 2018 to have him sign the cover. Now that he's sadly gone I expect mine is a one of a kind.

  • Not the most valuable things but definately some of my favorites. Signed Charles Martinet photo my friend got gor me and my eon tickets, one of which a friend gave me.
  • I view this as a set so I'm posting both. I actually posted this a couple years ago but it fits this thread. Both the prototype and the original Nintendo box painting will always be my favorite gaming pieces no matter what other video game paintings or prototypes I acquire. By the way, I need the vidpro if anybody has one to sell. http://vintage.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=176815
