  • Tomorrow makes 20 years to the day of Owen Hart's tragic fall and death. Continue to Rest in peace Owen. I still remember it happening life. My brother and I would put the tv on the ppv channel even if we didn't order it. Scrambled audio would come through. We were shocked and horrified. Definitely going to watch some Owen matches tonight. To Bret, Owens wife and children, continue to rest easy. Gone way too soon.
  • I heard that Vince wanted wanted to bring back the hard-core title, but because of sponsors like mars, they can't.

So what we got is the hard-core title, minus the hard-core.

Does this mean that every employee gets paid every hour? You need an official ref to make the count. No sleep for the zebras.
  • AJ Styles re-upped with WWE and said it's his last contract as a wrestler. Interesting on the timing. He said he enjoys the PG aspect (took a lot of beatings in TNA). Timing seems like it has more to do with locking him down from going to AEW. Assuming the deal has guaranteed money and commission on merch sales. He will likely get a big push as a result. I'm happy for him. He's paid his dues and regularly took beatings in TNA/RoH where he was busted and broken over and over. He said he likes the PG aspect and being able to bring his family to shows. I can respect that...he will likely have a spot backstage when he's done. Great mind in the industry that has been through it all. Hope he gets a big push at some point
  • Bret's Tweets about Owen brought me to tears. Dammit why? He'd probably be in the Ring still and a multiple champion at this point. This sucks, but it's a day to remember one of the greats.
  • Ordered tonight's AEW PPV. Getting pumped. Expecting surprises as this is basically their WrestleMania
  • I miss doing my old ppv predictions, but the WWE had me burned out as a fan. I thought Double or Nothing was solid, so hopefully they can build on this momentum and fill out the roster before the TNT show starts. Competition is better for everyone so I'm hoping they succeed and it causes the WWE to get things together and try to make their shows watchable again.

The Bruiser Brody episode on his death was a true gut punch and I didn't watch many of his matches. Can't wait to see more. I'll probably go with the one on Macho/Miss Elizabeth next.

Thank you for this suggestion!   Watched all six episodes over the weekend; very well done show.

I watched the Montreal episode. I don't think I learned anything that I hadn't already heard, but the Russo/Cornette takes were entertaining. If someone could get them to sit down and do a shoot interview together with or without them killing each other I would love to see it.

Yeah, pretty disturbing stuff if you are referring to the affidavit. I remember her being really fan friendly back in the old MySpace days. We actually got matching tattoos at the same time and I didn't even know it. Its sad she took her own life. After reading that statement, she must have lived with a great deal of depression. I saw where several of the girls she worked with set up a college fund for her daughter. She seemed so sweet, but troubled. Not sure if you saw the exchange with Ashley and Matt Hardys wife Reby a few years back, but it seems like she had been in a rough place for years.
  • I didn't. I knew they dated when they practically told her to announce it. How bad was it?
  • Moxley vs Omega straight away is bad.
  • I regret not watching Double or Nothing, reading about it online and checking out some clips shows some promise for sure for AEW.

Darktone - why would Moxley vs Omega be bad? Moxley is DA right? Just curious, I don't know Omega very well but it looks like him and Jericho went the distance.

There isn't much more that I want other than a true WWE competitor, I miss the WCW days!

Same. I watched the Battle Royale on YouTube, and while it was cheesy at some parts overall I thought it was pretty entertaining. Definately exposed me to some cool/interesting wrestlers.

    Might still find a way...

Haven't watched the main event from Taveover, but the first few matches were quite good.

It's bad right now. This will be Moxleys first match, and Omega lost to Jericho.

If Moxley loses, people will think hes a flash in the pan. If Omega loses, thats TWO straight losses. One to a guy who people had to Google.

    That makes sense nice perspective!

And for the record, last night was lame with the Money in the Bank "Cash-In" lol

Oh yeah. He’s been taking shots and it’s great. It perfectly explains how awful their product and booking has been
  • Wait. I thought NJPW hated AEW.

Not sure if serious. Both promotions seem to work well together. Moxley won the IWGP US title this morning at a New Japan show. It’s refreshing and Moxley branded for NJPW, etc has me interested

I heard NJPW were pissed about all in, for whatever reason. And it was part of why Omega, the bucks and more left. Guess I heard wrong.

I'm starting to branch out from the WWE and read some of Moxley's interview with Jericho.  Woah, a lot of what he says makes perfect sense.  While I enjoy the current WWE, it is no where as entertaining or creative as it was in the Attitude era.  If Vince really has that much control over some of the borderline-stupid bits that air, then Vince really is a huge part of the creative problem.  Been back watching for about 18 months now, and it's just stale, kind of a rinse/repeat over and over.  This reminds me of Al Davis and the Raiders, too much of an old-school mindset for an evolving world around him.

  • That Super Showdown show was complete hit garbage. There was nothing redeeming about it. Taker And Goldberg were a botch away from killing each other. Taker was visibly pissed at the end of the match

Taker has no business wrestling anymore, he’s just greedy and wanted some of that Saudi money. I’m getting tired of hearing Goldberg was the problem but Taker is equally guilty for that match. He should have retired 2 Manias ago

Taker couldn’t even lift him for that last suplex. Basically dropped Goldberg and it was so bad. He knew they had a dumpster fire of a match. Production wise I thought it was cool.

  • Taker face at the end...
  • Yeah goldberg legit concussed himself on the ring post and then immediately get a botched full impact tombstone. I felt and still feel bad for him for what followed
  • Feeling for Andrade. His mother passed away. You'll be alright, kid.

Regardless of Goldbergs concussion Taker has no business wrestling anymore.

Unless he needs more blood money.

    I'll bet Bret Hart doesn't.

Nah man... Taker can at least hold his own. Please see below. Goldberg did basically drop 'Taker on his head on the Jackhammer.

Golberg is supposed to hold himself onto Taker on the Tombstone as well. Check with Andy... But still, I hear what you're saying, but if 'Taker has a decent parter he can still have a decent match.

Goldberg has NEVER been a good wrestler. And to concuss yourself before the match... that's inexcusable. To eff up and put Takers health on the line anymore... yeesh.

    Yeah, exactly....

I felt bad when I first read the reviews about what happened.... But then I actually watched the match.

I get when he smacked his head on the ring post. That's not good, but....

What about Goldberg's entrance???? He seemed like he was dazed right from the get go... did he headbutt the door???

After one of his security guard bangs on the door, you hear (and see) a bang on the door. Then it opens the opposit way, by the handle       Usually Goldberg hits the door open. Sometimes he head butts it. A while back in WWE he busted his head open on the door on his entrance.

SSsssoooo.... is that what happened? He looked pretty winded and out of it right from the get go.

It was pretty hard too... I wouldn't be surprised if THAT'S when he knocked himself out. The ring post made it worse, obviously, but smacking that door with his head could very well have concussed him right from the get go.

How effing stupid. Like really... He ended Bret Hart's career with a concussion, and there he is being a dumbass and ehadbuttting a door that opens the OPPOSITE way.

The match wasn't rrrrreeeeaaaaally that bad. Had Goldberg not fucked himself up and actually pulled off the reverse of the tombstone, or taken a decent chokeslam.... could have been at least decent.

I just felt bad for 'Taker. He can at least still handle his own, he just can't carry someone like Goldberg anymore.
  • I heard Vince tore into taker. Who's fault was it?
