catskullgames.com GB games.

With the crazy release of the LRG's Star Wars for GB.

I wanted to get the opinion of the NA community as to adding Catskull Games to a collection or not.

  • I mean, you can add whatever you want to your collection, go for it. None of these are part of a full set or anything like that, so it really comes down to personal preference.
  • I can't take the generic cart shells seriously, so I say NO.

  • Do you like people making new games for old systems? Then check them out.
  • I'd definitely put them on the list, especially after having chatted with you briefly on your collecting goals. If these were on Famicom, I'd be all over them, as game boy id still be tempted to pick them up since GB is my second love.
  • I bought sheep it up when it was released and was not disappointed. I like the idea of having physical Gameboy homebrew games so I would definitely suggest buying if you see something that catches your interest whether it be for gaming or collecting.
  • I vaguely remember there being a company based in asia, producing and marketing unlicensed game boy games and selling them via advertisements in north american video game magazines. I remember there being a website as well, but Nintendo shut them down. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't remember the name and I am now curious about the quality of their releases.

    Sachen / Tin Chen?

  • If you want to play them... add them to your "collection".....?
  • They're neat and I'd still collect them, sure, but they're not part of the main series. Fits in the 'homebrew' or 'indie' sections of the collection for me.
