I was able to hear Howard Phillps talk about this picture at MGC this year. It is the first shipment of NES Consoles for the test market release in 1985.
I think also one part of this shipment contained the ROB trapezoid display's they used when setting up the Demo's in the store. Not for certain though.
A Deluxe set with a ser. # that low was almost certain to be in the first shipment to the USA (the airfreight pallets shown in the referenced picture being delivered to the Hackensack New Jersey warehouse)

How many consoles do you think were on that trailer?

Awesome! Were these all deluxe sets or did this load include the ROB/NES displays as well?
An unopened deluxe set from the test launch would contain sticker sealed CIB's.....So with that and other factors I would value a totally mint unopened deluxe set from this load to be pretty darn valuable. $5K and north?? Who knows.
Nothing. If these hadn't sold, Nintendo would have failed, and then we'd never have known of the company, Mario, Miyamoto, and etc. Nintendo would be barely a footnote in history.

Someone who purchased it then may have kept it unopened/unused. At least this is the dream all us collectors share.
The key point though is that all sold games/consoles does not mean all of them were used.

Wonder what all those unopened would be worth now
