What do you guys think the best game in any game series is and why. What's the best Mario game? Best Pokemon game? Zelda? Mega Man? Final fantasy? Sonic? Even newer stuff like call of duty or Halo. Anything as long as there is a series.

one of the most underrated aspect of the game is the fact that it screws with your ability to jump. Or it takes the jumping mechanic and turns it on its head several times which is very innovative because no game even thought about doing that.
It also has a sword of Zelda puzzle feel to it. In that, I mean who's tried to jump on the bird and it flies away. We all have and then you look at yourself in like well that's super Mario Land 2 for you.
It introduced wario.
It is a simple game but can be complex and it's not brutally long.
I love this game.

Don't get me wrong of course - I'm in a similar boat, I LOVE FF Adventure. I played the hell out of it when I was staying in the hospital as a kid. That and FF Legend 2 (Faux FF games everywhere!) got me through some tough times!

4.1 was my favorite, but then 5 took that spot... I have Iron Rain as well but I haven't gotten to it yet. as for the older ones I can speak for until I obtain them. I really love the series tho as mentally cheesy as it may be.
Mario World is marginally better than Mario 3

But Mario Odyssey is not the best Mario Game....they all are.

Don't feel bad. N64 has not aged very well at all unfortunately. The only game I think that wins in it's series on the N64 is star fox 64, although the 3DS version is more polished.
Oh and OOT. I can see why that's some people's favorite Zelda. There are so many good Zelda games, it's hard to choose.
