Yes, there was an article and interview, need to dig that up and share. It stated the main cast has been signed for five seasons and the Duffer brothers said they have enough content to do at least 4 seasons, but they are aiming for 5.

Great news about the upcoming seasons. I doubted this show at first and then tried the first episode and then watched both seasons back to back. I really enjoy the scenery, atmosphere, and writing compared to a lot of the other stuff coming out.
Well....who is watching Season 3? Haha, just came out yday, I'm already 5/8 episodes down! Would be great if we kept spoilers out for a few days .
So far...I'm really digging Robin the new character who is Uma Thurman's daughter and while super pretty, looks to have a bright career ahead.
The kids growing up and being couples and what not is kind of odd, but surprisingly well pulled off in the show through the scope of a kid vs parent (Hopper lol).
Loving the threat so far in this one, I think the multiple host approach is badass, and the way 3 or 4 different parties uncover all this around the same time is fantastic writing (by around episode 4 the threat is confirmed with the groups).
The one nit picky thing is the editing...for some reason I latched onto 2 or 3 times where the editing was very rough. Things like people holding stuff, next frame another person is, or their head movements frame to frame - yep I'm being a bit nit picky but I'm worried this one might have been rushed a bit to make 7/4.
Regardless, LOVING IT SO FAR. I want to take the day off of work to go finish it
We were rewatching the first two seasons to get ready for the third and I noticed that Dustin wore a shirt for the first season that said Castroville Artichoke Festival. That's a small 7,000 person town where my family is from.
Fun fact: Marilyn Monroe was the first Artichoke Queen.

Watched the first three on the morning of the 4th, watching the last five the night of the 4th/morning of the 5th. Not as good as the first two seasons I'd say, but pretty good still. I mean I binged it, so it had to be good right?
I really liked this season, but was kind of disappointed that it was more of the Mind Flayer. At some point I hope the villain is more grounded so they aren't completely dependent on Eleven. I wish that since Billy was such a mysterious character when he appeared, they had made him a budding serial killer like Ted Bundy. That would have been such a creepy way to play with his flirting with Karen.

I thought season 1 was superior, but then again, I'm the only person who also thinks Fellowship of the Ring was the best LotR movie. I like buildup.
I thought season 1 was much better, but still enjoyed season 2 a lot. Very excited for the next season!
