Finding SE in the wild ,in NC ..

I have heard from several reliable sources that several copies of SE have been found in the “wild “in the NC area in the past few years ..This is not including the CIB copy that was found by a lady in GoodWill in NC for $8 a few years ago ..I am currently working in the NC area ,is it still possible to find a copy of SE in “wild “(loose or CIB )in NC ?

  • Anything is possible.

If someone could confirm this it would already be in captivity.
  • Hit up some NC garage sales! You miss 100% of the shots you don't take -Michael Scott -Wayne Gretzky
  • uhh... sure, but only if you look in the right spot.
  • It is possible to find an SE in the wild, you just have to be extremely lucky these days.

Anything is possible still. I recently found a gameboy display cabinet on klov for free! I was even second dibs and still got it. Not the same value tho

  • After that guy (forgot the user name) up and found SE and athletic world plus the bandai mat along with some other titles in a random garage/yard sale in Texas I think anything is possible.
  • I'm sure there are still some floating around out there. Probably in some attic or basement.
  • Nope. Carolina has been taken, nothing else to collect there!

See what I did there?? wink wink

You joke but at least in Easter NC, it feels like everyone and their brother is into retro-gaming.  I mean, yeah, there may a chance that you could find grandmas yard sale and she’s selling the kids “nintendo cassettes” and, suprise, grandpa kept all the boxes and manuals and Stadium Events is one of them.  That said, competition seems a bit fierce around here.  When I use to yard sale, I’d often ask if people had any games and often I wasn’t the first to ask that day.

Good luck finding anything.  I’ve never found an NES cartridge and mostly you’ll find PS2 era stuff at best.  Instead, I have better luck hitting thrift shops, getting know the staff and asking them if they had games coming in.  I’ve managed to get some decent stuff, but nothing amazing.

  • ^You don't see what I did there.
  • Not a chance, all the games that exist in NC are in the Carolina Collection   Nobody else has any games. Pretty sure it's the same situation in Indiana too
  • There out there, they just have nt found it yet
  • The truth is out there.
  • Like everyone else stated anything is possible. I believe the way my old NWC Gold Cart was found was from a couple who found it in a garage sale.
  • Yep this day and age it's a needle in a haystack. So much competition everywhere it's insanely saturated. If you have the time and resources, hit up garage/yard sales and post WTB ads on CL/FB - maybe some old lady will tell you she has a box of stuff in her attic.

Do you still have that Gold NWC cart ?

  • No. I sold it to JJ Games a while back ago and I believe he donated it to charity. He's an awesome person!
