Anyone here play Battle Princess Madelyn? It's half off on the eshop and I know it's supposed to be like a Ghouls n ghosts clone (which is one of my fave series), so just wondering if I should bite.
Need input from my switch peeps
I have the cart I ordered from PA when it launched and after it arrived I played it for a little while but after the 1st boss the next area got confusing as hell to where to go and I kinda slid it to the back burner for a bit since.
Also as a side note, Psyvariar Delta from Dispatch Games indeed shipped as mine arrived yesterday (11 months on the nose to when I preordered it...) Put in for Radirgy Swag (LE and Standard) so hopefully since Dispatch seems to have gotten their ducks in a row maybe it will arrive on time...

Thanks, I read some reviews and the general consensus of Battle Princess Madelyn is the story mode is tough to play because it gives no direction on how to proceed through the game. The arcade mode is apparently more level to level type. I purchased it since it was half off and will give it a go.
Psyvariar shows releasing on amazon and such on the 23rd. Is the Dispatch games version any different? WOndering if I will need to entries on the list.

Only diffrence is Dispatch had some limited edition foil covers exclusive to the site and a bonus DLC , and a standard which also is in retail stores other than that they are all the same. Radirgy Swag is a site exclusive and will not be sold retail (if you haven't entered that in yet)
Amazon having prime day sale. Few switch titles marked down, I picked up Fun Fun animal park, tennis world tour roland-garros edition and mudrunner american wilds.
Resident Evil is a hard pass for me. 5 and 6 digital is BS, and honestly they're not even good games - it stopped at 4 and came back at 7. And I've played 4 enough times to do so practically blindfolded already so really no need to do it YET AGAIN.

5 is ok. I had fun playing that coop back in the xbox 360 days. 6 I never finished, by far the worst of these 3. Ive probably played through 4 on the wii atleast 5 times.

I enjoyed 5, maybe not more than 4, but certainly more than 6. I also feel like 5 gets a bad reputation because there wasn’t as much “horror” compared to 4, but my main complaint with 4 was baby sitting Sheri and 5 fixed that with co-op and an AI parented that was servicable. Shiva had a whole bunch of problems but the game with two humans was easy, at least the AI made it somewhat more of a challenge.

It's hard for me to go back and play 4 with those controls, now that we've been spoiled with dual-stick movement/aiming/looking as a standard. I know you can use the waggle controls on the Wii, but I just want the walking/aiming controls to feel like other 3rd-person action games, and there's no option for that. Really sucks, because its such an awesome game. I also loved RE5, even though it wasn't so much a horror title. It was still a ton of fun.

I like the RE4 control scheme way better than modern 2 stick games actually. If you could run and shoot at the same timet their would be zero challenge or fear/anxiousness . Going back to it is seemless for me because the wii version feels so natural. I wish they made more games like it. Instead we get teh same thing over and over again

Dead Space would like a word with you.
dead space is scary because of atmosphere. With RE4 you needed those controls

That really doesn't make RE4 sound very good lol.
Well I found the control scheme appropriate for the difficulty of the game. Chainsaw men arent scary when you can run away and shoot. Watching them get closer and closer as you shotgun the shit out of them is more intense.
That red scope only science experiment is intense as shit having to scope him as he is walking right at you

Agreed, generally. But I'd argue that this is easily solved by doing precisely what Dead Space did. Make enemies move a bit faster, and make it so when you are aiming you walk more slowly. It's unbelieveable to me that a combat trained policeman can't move and shoot at the same time.

My latest PAL import...
Interesting choice

Im not using up room on my switch storage for old ass games.
Would have purchased this if they were all physical. I'll just scratch the itch to play these with the old consoles. 4 is the best on wii anyway

SO... apparently the Switch is getting a battery upgrade. I guess this is the "pro" that has been rumored all this time?

My feeling is that this is just a system revision. I think a “pro” could still come out later.

I also feel like 5 gets a bad reputation because there wasn't as much "horror" compared to 4, but my main complaint with 4 was baby sitting Sheri and 5 fixed that with co-op and an AI parented that was servicable.
It was still a ton of fun.

dead space is scary because of atmosphere.

Any word on if this will get a full physical release in Japan? May actually import at least RE5 since I don’t have a way to play it.
