Dispatch Games exclusive (will not be sold at retail) just recently announced so no actual visuals on what stuff will look like yet, I'll try to update this as they do.

Question for Switch owners, should I buy one now or hold off until the March update that will have a longer battery life and run cooler? It has so many games that I'd like to play; however, I've been waiting for a pro type model as rumored.

The cop out answer is to go with your heart on the deal. If you can wait for the next model (you've waited this long already), and the extra features are important to you, then wait. Personally, I am so glad that I got mine on Day 1. The battery life is fine for me. I play undocked quite a bit and haven't had any real issues with battery life. Sometimes, it makes me put the damn thing down for a bit. LOL! If there are that many games that you want to play and you just can't wait, the current console should be fine for you. I don't think anyone in this thread will tell you that they regret their purchase.
March? Isn't there a slightly improved model out now with better battery life (using same tech as Lite) ?
I wouldn't wait almost a year on something that is merely speculation at this point. Lite models at least had some leaks supporting it.
Sorry, somewhere I thought I read this was coming out in March. If the improved battery life is already out then I’ll pick up a Switch. I could wait for the rumored pro model, but I could be waiting forever.
Edit: Looks like it might be mid August that it is available.
Finished rearranging the games a little to better display the Switch games. I know i posted the 300 milestone but figured i'd take a few better pics to show what Switch games are in there. Couldn't find the collection pictures thread for some reason so i'll post it here. Anybody seen that thread? i swear it dissapeared!
All the Switch games are displayed except for the big ass Sornic Mania. Too big to put on a shelf. Breath of the Wild is pushin it but its a cool one to have out. Here's the 2 shelfs not shown in the shot above and a couple other updated pics for anyone interested.
Its Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Collection. Has the PC Engine CD game Sapphire on it. Had sorta ruled out getting the original version so i had picked that up so i could at least play it.
I once categorized all of my movies by a number of different criteria. Director, genre, label, etc.
Then my kids tore half of them down one morning while I was sleeping.
Lol, im having to touch up the blu ray shelf nearly every day since we set up the movies in the living room cuz my cat Musha tries to push em back so he can get behind em. Benefit of keepin the game room locked so he can't get in there and fiddle with shit.
Are there any first person DRPGs on the Switch? I love my Vita and some of the best games were DRPGs like Stranger in Sword City, Dungeon Travelers 2, Demon Gaze, etc... but I don't see many options on the Switch. There's Labyrinth of Refrain and Darkest Dungeon (but that's stretching it), but anything else?

I don't! But it did get a US release. I've seen it at best buy. It may not look like im picky but Visual novel type games is one genre im just not into! why i also don't own Steins Gate.

These 2 come to mind. Can't think of any others at the moment. Haven't played either yet so i can't give a real opinion on em except i've heard they're decent. Both also have collectors editions. I think you can still get the CE for Vaporum through Signiture Edition games if you're interested. Vaporum also hasn't come to the US yet i don't think which is why i have the UK copy. If you don't mind downloading a game i guess theres a game called The Keep in the eshop thats supposed to be a first person dungeon crawler.
300+ club as well. All these damn special editions are killing space compared ot how small/compact regular switch games are lol. Last addition was R-type dimensions, which because of fire emblem I have not touched yet. Only have a few imports, mostly from play asia. Need to start working on the exlusives.
