Wata has way too much to lose, and too little to gain from using their own services. There are certainly close friends of wata who use their services, but that's inevitable since wata (or any other service provider for any industry) doesn't exist in a vacuum.
I submitted a nice chunk of games and got some good service and even got to hang with the guys for a nice weekend during MGC!!! Hoping to catch up with them at PRGE this October. Sending some Wata love on this Friday morning!!!

I'm a little worked up over it myself, to be honest. I don't really care for baseless slander, which, in absence of any evidence being shown, is exactly what this is.
I've got zero graded games and don't run in the sort of higher-end collecting circles of folks that do, and I still take some offense to it, considering we've got members from this site that are the owners and operators of Wata, and have yet to do anything to make them seem like anything less than stand-up guys (and far better than that in my personal estimation). If there's some basis to this, then show it, otherwise it's someone badmouthing people for whatever reason, and that's not really something we do here (we're not so big on personal attacks).

No, no... I wasn't trying to imply I had anything of substance to add. My comment was trying to make the point that it is easy to create or watch disorder unfold if it doesn't cost you anything. Making a claim under a fake name with no evidence is easy but cannot be taken serious. If someone wants to make a credible claim anywhere, they need to provide evidence which carries the risk of exposing their identity and suffering any resulting fallout.

Why would you drop ship to WATA if your source is unknown to you? Countless potential issues here ranging from the wrong item being sent, to the condition not lining up with what was expected. Plus they weren't invoiced, which can cause all sorts of problems, especially for a company that already has backlog.
You understand that much larger and older grading companies have continued to thrive despite far more serious instances of wrongdoing? CGC's credibility has been "ruined" more than once, go take a gander at what graded comics are selling for these days.

You should pay attention to what I wrote as I chose my words very carefully. I don't know if WATA is for sure doing this, but based on what I currently do know, I have reason to believe that they are buying games. Even if they are buying games that doesn't mean that they are grading them and selling them. They could be grading them to tour with them, or to use them to train new graders or any number of other reasons I haven't thought of.
Also I don't know if someone who has a financial interest in WATA should be moderating the WATA thread on this forum.
