Undertaker is known for being a safe worker in the Ring. He could lace up and put on a shoe with anyone.
Goldberg has been bad technically throughout his career. Guy kicked Bret Hart causing a seizure and ended his career. His high impact offense is dangerous
Dang, I'm saddened to hear all this as Goldberg is legit my #1 fav wrestler ever from when I was a teenager, got his autograph at Sturgis like a giddy schoolgirl - but wrestling is incredibly important when it comes to safety and precision. I never realized he was a sloppy wrestler, nor that he ended Hart's career (I'm going to google that to learn more, Bret Hart was da man).
That match with Taker has hard to watch. It all makes more sense if Goldberg concussed himself hitting the door (or ring post), because he could barely pick him up for the Jackhammer like I've never seen before. But that Tombstone sent chills down my spine, you can literally see Goldberg head ripple from the slam. I will say I did not watch a lot of Goldberg's WWE time, it was more back in his early days with the streak etc.
They are both WAY over their prime, really hope they are okay, and that they both consider putting up their hats. On a side note, the "Return of Taker" bits are extremely overplayed, I've been back for going on two years watching and they've already had him "retire" a few Wrestlemanias ago, come back once and now twice I think. I think the last match Taker was in it looked like his knees were going to buckle setting up for a stone, it worried me then too.
Undertaker is always safe and I can't think of anyone he's worked with saying he isn't. That being said, he's older. He's had surgeries. And he should have stepped down years ago.
Baron Corbin is so bad. Why are they pushing this guy? He's a typical Vince big man. He's an awful wrestler, no reason to be in the main event. But they keep pushing him
Man, that Taker vs Goldberg match was an absolute travesty. I can't believe how far this company has fallen...even since just 2014. I didn't even watch RAW.
I think I'm done with WWE. Rumors that Shane's current storyline end with him beating Kofi for the belt.
I heard this too. Sad days.....
Never been a fan of the New Day but to put the strap on a 50 year old son of the company is ridiculous. Put it on McIntyre, put it on Owens, anyone. Shane’s ‘Best in the World’ gimmick isn’t bad. He is a good wrestler. But to crown him as champ is stupid

That sounds like hot garbage. I hope that's not true...
Also... this made me realize we haven't sen the Smackdown tag champs in a while... D. Bryan & Rowan....
I usually try to give WWE the benefit of the doubt, but it has been GOD AWFUL since "The McMahons" "took over".
Like, seriously.... how could ANYONE have thought that it was a good idea to bring HHH, Stephanie, Shane, & Vince out and tell people "Things are going to change! And WE are going to bring it to you."
First of all... Vince is great, but he can't cut a long promo anymore and should only be on TV once in a while.
Secondly, Shane was the only babyface at the time.
And Smackdown was doing well and people were enjoying Paige as GM. It was RAW that was fucked up.
So... you bring back "the authority" AND part of the old Corporation in Vince & Shane... and somehow that's what the fans will want???? It was so dumb and it has only goten worse and more convuleted with the Superstar shakeup and consequent "wildcard rule".
It's been very bad the last few months, with the only saving grace being the super stars themselves.
AEW's tickets for their next show went on sale this morning and sold out in 15 minutes. Wish I'd have grabbed a pair as Chicago is only 4 hours away. Regardless that's impressive. They're gaining momentum and with these awful WWE shows lately it should keep up. Unlike WCW they seem to be calculated on everything they're doing so far
I thought SummerSlam was okay, very predictable except the Main Event, which was pretty dope. Trish brought it for being out forever, was slightly slo-mo sharp and still super foxy.
Was excited to see the Fiend, I thought they pulled it off pretty well with the atmosphere/lighting/angles - this should be a fun ride. I'd expect a Demon Balor rematch at some point - hopefully for Fiends first loss.
Poor Finn, feel like he's been putting peeps over for a while - he's my 2nd fav to Braun.
P.S. - glad K.O. won, although I fully expected him too.
I'm a bit lost in the Smackdown Roman Reigns/DB bit...did DB shed who was behind the RR attacks last night? I see he said that Murphy was "involved", but did I miss something else?
Daniel had someone under a sheet the entire night, who he claims was responsible. Turned out to be a guy who looked a lot like Rowan.
Lol, oh....THAT was it!?!?! Hahaha good grief. I halfway paid attention playing a vidja game, but was trying to listen/wait for his secret to be announced. I totally bit on that bit.
Side note - Buddy Murphy can throw down, dude has some skills.

His matchs with Roman and Daniel. If it wasn't the WWE, I would have more faith.
What the hell did Sami, Ziggler, and Ember Moon do?! All are getting buried like no ones business.
Moon just got a title shot
She has a great look and killer finisher (that is pretty much a top rope stone cold stunner.) There doesn't seem to be any commit to her character, from her or the writers. She is suppose to be be some kind of supernatural werewolf hunter or something, but her personality just comes off like a bubbly geeky babyface.
Her match with Bailey was nothing to write home about either. Don't see her getting another shot unless something gives.

No Rusev, no Riott Squad. These writers suck.
Missing Ru Ru. Can't believe he got Rusev Day over and they did nothing to capitialize on it. Dude seems unhappy, prob just waiting till his contract is up.
Ruby is injuried. Liv lost a solo match and said something cryptic and was written off tv to be repacked it seems. Logan already transitioned from sourthern redneck to viking, prob can put her with her husband in the War Raiders as a valet/mixed tag partner. Funny they get disbanded right as the women's tag titles debut. They got a lot of tv time, but were never booked that strong.

Ember was named number one contender. Then Bailey went on Twitter and said she would rather face Trish. Then Ember lost to alexa, killing momentum, had to be saved by Bailey from Natalya, and lost clean to Bailey. Ziggler and Sami have had similar things happen for months too.
I thought it was quite good for a debut show, they really came close to WWE production quality-wise.
Jericho is such a dick, it was great haha.
I think I saw a chairshot to the head but isn't that banned from tv?
Overall good show, very unfamiliar with AEW but Cody seems to be a badass and it's nice to hear JR again .
I thought it had a better flow to it than most of their ppv events and the production was solid. I liked hearing Tony and JR on commentary. A two hour show once a week keeps the roster from being overexposed while they continue to add more talent. It had kind of a late '80s, early '90s WCW when it was still presented more like a sport with less "sports entertainment". It definitely impressed me more than Smackdown on Fox did last night even though I was trying to alternate between it and the Bearcats game. It looked like it had a Wrestlemania level of production that looked great, but it felt to me like just another average Smackdown other than the title change that seemed obvious going in.
I agree Smackdown felt about the same...I've got mixed feelings on the Cain introduction. He was a great MMA fighter, but he's smaller than Brock, flabbier, and his very minimal experience. They want to put him into the title picture? Maybe he will surprise me.
As for last night - WTF did they do with the Fiend?!? This was just straight bizarre, I've never heard a crowd during a PPV boo so loud and they even chanted AEW lol. Where do they even go from here, I'm worried the Fiend has been ruined ***holding back tears***.

At least we've gotten to see more Sami Zayn.
Cody is ok, but still.......
Damn, 12 stitches I think I read? Hell of a botch.
But jumping off a building into a car filled with light tubes, thumb tacks, barbed wire things, all that stuff is ok? Alright.
Jim Cornette would have a shit fit!

we have:
NJPW Royal Quest from the Copper Box
NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff
and finally AEW All Out in Chicago tonight!
it's a great day for wrestling fans!
