Gold Zelda 5 Screw Cart

I recently came across a golden Zelda five screw cart. Does anyone know if these are supposed to exist? I have never seen them before nor are any up on ebay right now. Also would it be any more valuable than a regular gold Zelda cart, if anyone has an approximate apprasial value on it, I would really apreciate that.

PS

I always seem to come across the most random 5 screw carts, for example I have a super c 5 screw if anyone remembers that post.

  • is legit from what i hear....they come up occasionally but not worth a whole lot more...maybe you could get $3 more or something if you advertise it right
  • what a lot of people on here fail to establish is the fact that Nintendo did not have to play by the rules...if they had stock left over or found stock of NES cases they would probably use it (even if they were older ones)...I actually believe your Super C cart is legit to be quite honest with you
  • Yeah Zelda is legit (would be pretty hard to fake this one actually image), certainly rarer than the 3-screw, but to what extent I don't know. I have one, but it's not in the greatest shape. What kind of condition is yours in? If it's nice and your selling, I may be interested.

Super C 5-screw is pretty hard to swallow as being legit, it was released about 2.5 - 3 years after they stopped using that style.
  • Zelda 5 screw is pretty tough to find in good shape, but they are out there if you look. Unless someone just made a 5 screw Super C, it shouldn't exist. I am with Bootgod, seems pretty hard to swallow that one. Just doesn't make any sense or fit any timeline whatsoever. Real or fake, still a neat item to have though image

  • not to get off the subject but isnt doesnt some Zeldas have all black writing on the back and some have red and black?
  • yeah I'm pretty sure the earlier runs of the game had the all black text and then they switched to the "NES-ZL871104" version which they then also used on all battery-backed games for quite some time.
