Longtime NES Collector Joins!
So yeah, hey everyone. Name's Rick, been collecting NES games for nearly twenty years. I don't have much to show aside from 261 carts, but it impresses people enough, so I guess that's pretty good.
I'm definitely a Mega Man fan.
I also run a wiki called "Debug Modes and Unused Stuff", so naturally, I love finding out about unused stuff, sickeningly well-kept secret passwords and codes, and other random stuff in games.
I'm also a big fan of prototype/beta games. I'm interested in getting a proto at some point, if I can find one at the right price.
So yeah, that's me. I doubt I'll be making too much of a splash around here. I tend to be more of the quiet type.

One time when looking at Uniracers on the SNES in a hex editor I was shocked to find a very long list of swear words and mixed in with them was Sega and Sonic as well. At first I was wondering why Nintendo would have tones of swear words and phrases in one of their games, then I figured out why.
If you enter any of the words from that list as your name, it says "Name not cool enough" and won't let you use it. This was because parents were getting mad at Nintendo when there kid would rent a game and there would be swear words entered from the previous person that played it in the name field.

I know who you are. We've been quiet on forums together in the past.

Really? Whereabouts, per se?
Really? Whereabouts, per se?
Uh. Shit, one or two old dead NES forums. I can't remember which one(s) specifically. Also tasvideos.

Ahhh, yes. I haven't posted at TASVideos in a bit (and I should probably get started on the MMX 100% TAS fairly soon now that school and work isn't kicking my ass).
As for everyone else, thanks for the warm welcomes.
